Second Trump Impeachment Tests GOP Senators’ Loyalty To Mike Pence | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

Rachel Maddow notes that the argument made by House impeachment managers that Donald Trump incited a violent mob to target Mike Pence and did not show any concern for how close that mob came to literally killing Pence may not sit well with Republican senators who see Pence as a colleague. 1. @Liron Deline He still owes cities for police O.T. , security etc . . . from 2016 . He very well may have more debt than anyone , ever , in the history of , everybody says so , I’ve heard people talking , actually there is no bigger loser .

    2. @Jackyc1234 Clark indeed he does. Tucson, Arizona; Spokane, Washington; Burlington Vermont; El Paso, Texas; and Minneapolis among others, 14 cities in total are still owed an estimated $1.82millon dollars for his “rallies.”

    1. the saying is:
      “couldn’t care less”
      or
      “could not care less”
      You think about it.
In fact, for emphasis, you might even say:
      “could not care any less”

  1. “. . . but you ignore the fact that most bordellos have higher standards for their clients than Trump has for his appointees.”

    1. Maybe you should have JFK’s comparable line preceding Trump’s, ie:
“ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” – _JFK_
” ask not what you can do for your country, ask what you can do for me ” – _DJT_

  2. The insurrection was Trump’s revenge against democracy and our Constitution.
It was his way of getting back at everyone who refused to violate our Constitution on his behalf. And he reveled in it.

    1. @Hjc Ceril following trump off a cliff, are you deluded..,..you do realise that the USA,like the uk is bankrupt….our country’s sold out from under us by some very corrupt polititians …if it wasn’t for trump we would all already be living in a socialist dystopian nightmare…..that’s why Obama left the military in such a bad state, and why trump rebuilt it…..in a consumer society, once the money runs out, what are you then????

    1. At least most Republicans aren’t anti America. Demonrats have now decided that if you disagree with the president impeachment is the go to remedy. Seems all Demonrats are drama queens.

    2. @jeck jeck That is the dumbest thing I’ve read in a long time. Most liberals freely admit they don’t believe in making America great again. If you find that offensive, you’re anti America,Sally.

  3. “what do you do if you’re a Republican Senator knowing that”?….look up in the dictionary and be surprised to see your picture as the meaning for ‘Coward’

    1. Might be, but I doubt there will be much space left beside that much bigger picture of the man, that told his followers he will walk with them fighting for his cause and then sneaked away and watched all on television while they put themselves and others in danger. I guess those senators will more end up in the appendix or some footnotes, right beside an extended explanation of “bone spurs”.

  4. When you have fire in your eyes you don’t care who gets hurt and no remorse. You want revenge.Thats why linzy graham tryn to ignore facts.😎

  5. The Republican vote in the impeachment trial isnt about party loyalty – that’s the old paradigm. Today’s GOP is post-partisan. They don’t put party over country, anymore. Now they put obedience to Trump over party AND country. They just want to be ruled.

  6. So every person who reads this knew the Vice President was in danger. But the POTUS, the most powerful man in the world, had no idea, huh? That’s so weird.

    1. If the Congress was at risk, and if the VP was at risk, and to that risk was reacted by the law enforcement and the Secret Service, wasn’t that the USA was possibly at risk generally? Due to the fact no one really knew who these insurrectionists were. In such a situation why didn’t the SS protect Trump with a special care and move him to the Air Force One for example? What did they do at that moment? Is It known? If they didn’t do anything special why was that so? If not doesn’t that implicate Trump and the Secret Service knew very well who those insurrectionists were and what was their agenda and goal. So both the POTUS and the Secret Service both knew quite well there is no danger for Trump at the moment or in its aftermath. Doesn’t that implicate both Trump and the SS knew beforehand what’s going to happen and by whom?

  7. It’s not that DT didn’t care about Pence, he wanted him harshly PUNISHED for his perceived disobedience!

  8. By the way, if anyone ever says (or intends), “I don’t know if we’re under oath…”, the next thing they say is likely a lie.

  9. Republican senators: “Is support from Mike Pence crucial to my re-election?” The answer = no. And there you have your answer on how they will vote.
