Another resignation and Trudeau’s pick to boot. Par for the course with this government, “scandal after scandal”. When will Canadians wake up and vote this “corrupt, unethical” out!!!

@karen Burrows – really??? Wow! FYI, Trudeau “bypassed the vetting process and hand-picked her himself. So, “Yes” it’s all on him!
@Elmer Fudd – I agree that she should have been vetted, but don’t think she is just a person with , “a vagina”. She has an amazing list of achievements. Unfortunately, she also happens to be an ahole.

@karen Burrows …and I forgot to know that it is called a proper vetting process. Checking previous employers and co-workers and doing an in-dept analysis and there are several trails of evidence that had he looked, many say could have been caught. This is not a trivial position that she was assigned at, the queen’s representative, so he had to make this right, not just fill a bragging sheet

No, Gordon isn’t abusive. He yells but only at those who consent to it, gives them opportunity to back out and doesn’t do it to those who are not his equals – waitresses, waiters, hosts/hostesses, children on his game shows etc.

Assault charges by her husband don’t seem so far fetched now. If she acts like this in a public or corporate setting, imagine how she acted at home?
A great deal of courage for all those employees that came forward to report a bully and a person that loves abusing power. I hope these employees heal and are grateful for being heard.
I don’t doubt that Mr Dress up will give her a golden parachute to help ease the suffering of her humiliation

And where have we already seen an example of this type of corruption? Well, without mentioning any complete names, let me just say G Butts, or wait, that’s too obvious, let’s go with Gerald B.
All bullies deserve to be disgraced. Having a bully for a boss is a dreadful experience and one often has nowhere to turn because s/he has to go to work everyday. Imagine the mental toll on the abused day after day.
That happened to me, for 2 1/2 years I endured a female boss that was cruel and mean. To her bosses, she was sweet and kind. I could not quit as I finally had a job with benefits and I was a single mother to 5. The pay was not great but I needed the benefits. Fortunately, these benefits saved me from financially hitting rock bottom. I ended up on medical sick leave at the age of 42, then diagnosed with Fibro Myalgia, and pensioned out of the workforce at the age of 44. Not happy about leaving the workforce so early, as I had just completed college when I was hired on and still had years of student loans to pay off.
Actually people’s complaints were ignored by the government. You do not get temp sick leave without questions. They tried to hide it.

@Brett Thomas Trudeau wisely took Stephane Dion out of Foreign Affairs when Trump ogred his way in. Also, Garneau has done well. Chrystia Freeland has done a superb job.

Get rid of this rubber stamp office. Why are we wasting tax payer money on this lady’s office and staff. The whole thing is ceremonial; just get the chief justice to absorb the governor-general’s office.

A friend of the Trudeaus hired as GG, hired her best friend as assistant, no problem. A social misfit who wouldn’t preform the duties of the office, no problem. Making drama boy look bad in his choice – now we have a problem.
This is why you don’t hire because they fit the “diversity” categories but you hire the best person for the job.
