Schumer Prioritizes Legislation Over GOP Bad Faith Bipartisanship, Cites Obama Era Lessons

  1. Lets see if schumer really has learned considering he’s still debating for the filibuster and hemming and hawing on relief for covid or impeachment or any real strong action yet

    1. Guarantee you he’s lying. That’s what politicians do. Even IF he has a plan, it isn’t going to be his.

    2. Republicans are really good at denying people what they need and shifting blame. It’s likely the won’t budge for anything.I’m always open to being surprised, but it’s probably unlikely.

    1. Schumer is the weakest Democrat I’ve ever seen in my life. I bet he caves into every demand Moscow Mitch makes – and, the GOP will STILL complain and refuse to vote with Democrats on anything.

    2. @Richard Owens we need strong democrat bullies in the senate. We already have Nancy in the house. It’s true you can’t be weak when governing because the other side will most definitely try to run you over. If Hillary didn’t have so much things going on for her she would of won. Imagine the republicans having to deal with Hillary and Nancy Pelosi? They would be scared to deal with that combo. Chuck needs to tell McConnell that he better recognize and stop playing hero.

    3. @Rolls Royce Network No, Nancy Pelosi AND Chuck Schumer need to be thrown out of office! Chuck Schumer is too pathetic and weak to hold his position and Nancy Pelosi is too incompetent to hold hers. She has the reputation of being a “master legislator” – but, throughout her entire 60 year political career she has NEVER written a single piece of legislation! Her ONLY talent is fund raising from the big corporations and wealthy people who already OWN OUR GOVERNMENT! That is why the Democrats keep LOSING, despite having a base that is in the majority! After all, why should the majority of people go out to vote when their only choices are either pathetic and weak or corrupt, or both?

On the other hand, despite being corrupt to the core, the GOP knows how to motivate their base – that is in the minority – to get out and actually vote! How? By fear mongering about the Democrats and pandering to the prejudices and petty bigotries of their base who are too shallow and stupid to notice how corrupt the GOP is.

    1. @Frank the thing that really matters is that we are doing what we are doing now, having a reasonable civil conversation. We see things differently. That doesnt mean we are enemies. Thank you brother i hope you stay well. Later

  2. “Fool me once …” Schumer is determined to get something accomplished and not allowing McConnell to make anymore promises Republicans have NO intention on keeping. Schumer, good for you!

    1. @Chetar Ruby He is against our freedom of speech on facebook. They refuse to stand up to these bullies facebook & twitter who are unfair to people. Only they are to have freedom of speech not the rest of us!

    2. @ryan1981 cool Sorry. Perhaps you don’t understand what ‘Freedom of Speech’ means. Let me help you. Freedom of speech is the right for you to not have our GOVERNMENT interfere with your speech. That is the only entity that is prohibited from interfering with speech. If you go on Facebook, or Twitter, or any other website, you have effectively entered someone elses home. You are subject to their rules. If the Government made rules restricting what Facebook can moderate, they are violating Facebook’s Freedom of Speech. Facebook is not a government entity, therefore they cannot run afoul of Freedom of Speech rights. They have them too, including the right to NOT speak on your behalf. Hope this helps.

  3. Let’s I hope so because it seems like the first thing the Dems do again and again is to give up any negotiating advantage they might have right from the start and then from that point of weakness attempt to get something done.
Meanwhile the Repubs openly declare an obstructionist stance and play a winner takes all game.

  4. Am glad Shumer is doing his best to get congress in the right frame of mind. Pray Americans, pray & support your govt.

  5. Right on!!! Don’t trust Moscow Mitch and the Republicans for one second. He will just obstruct everything. Don’t trust them!!! Democrats must govern for the good of the country and the American people. Not for the rich and corporations

    1. Who trust Churck only communist freedom of speech haters like yourself. Which is why facebook gets way with being unfair with removing comments & banning white people for 30 days!

  6. About time the Dems start playing hardball; the unAmerican obstructionist GOP’s only goal is to make Dem policy, which the vast majority of Americans want (including many conservatives even), fail so the Dems can be blamed for the dismal state of the nation and then the GOP can barely squeak by in the next elections and gain power that they will try to keep via undemocratic means.

    1. @James Ricker That is not what I meant at all. I meant the rigged Dominion voting machines, the dead people who voted, the manufactured votes, and more. Obviously you are a racist, looking for someone to blame for your own twisted dysfunction.

    2. The majority of Americans opposed Obamacare, but that didn’t stop the Democrats from passing it, did it? Why is it so hard for some to just admit that they push the party line (regardless of whether the people want it or not)? Not condoning or speaking out against Obamacare, I was just using it as an example, though.

  7. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. I really feel like Schumer is there, he just needs a few more senators to go his way.

  8. I told you the Republican party has to watched they are not going to b bipartisan relationship. They have a lot of lip service. Send more Republicans home in 2022.

  9. Big , bold and strong and just get it done,,,we have experienced a 50 / 50 split before ,we know what to do to move forward…
