@Gabe Dudley They take it because of their extensive travel for malaria. Guys in the militarily are young, have decent immune systems, and no heart problems. An old, obese guy, with no history of exercise, high LDL, is comparing apples to oranges. Taking the drug, indefinitely, as a means of preventing covid 19, is anything but proven. It is very irresponsible for any leader to announce this as a treatment. Then again it might just be a test, to see how well his attempt as ruler is going. If he can convince people covid 19 is a hoax, go on to convince the same people to take a pill to prevent covid 19. He knows, he’s gotcha. He has convinced people to believe contradicting stories, so those people will follow him straight off a cliff. Good luck to you.
