CTV News is Canada's most-watched news organization both locally and nationally, and has a network of national, international, and local news operations.
Why do I automatically assume I am only getting one side of the “news” anymore.
World vs Russia
Because you’d be right. No one is going in because the EU is getting rich off of Russian gas.
@セ千尺ㄖ丂セ
Not true look up BRIC nations. These countries could destroy our western civilization. We don’t make anything just remember that
Cause you’re another Russian bot?
Cause you’re only getting one side of the news.
We have a progressive kindergarten teacher as a foreign minister. Canada is screwed wholesale.
That’s was some vile male toxicity Carl
@M H no one cares about your labels.
I don’t drink and I enjoy a low-salt diet, but I have just given up vodka and caviar to support Ukraine.
Ha,ha ha
Well I think cutting off the sale of vodka should irreversably cripple their ecomomy. But don’t quit buying their oil as eastern canada needs that after destroying our own oil industry.
Yeah, that vodka embargo will teach em
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, guys.
Canada is not a big player here. The best we do is provide medical and logistical supports for some Baltic states, as it does currently with a small military contingency in Lithuania or Latvia. Canada is indeed a player, but not a superpower.
Canada is barely even playing.
Canada has NOT been a player since 2015.
Medical and logistical support is a big deal and will be welcomed by Ukraine.
@Yeoman I’d give you that. Even then, not much a player.
What is your point? Should we do nothing?
Alamo
I need another spray can of ‘Russian bot-be-gone’
So, what is “security” in your definition, Do you think we are all stupid?
Seize all Russian assets, liquidate them to give the proceeds to Ukraine.
Expell Russian consulate and embassy staff.
Whatever you said, miss Joly, your sanction doesn’t work.
There are many ways yes imports of any kind is a start . Expell Russian nationals that come here to play hockey and students that come here . It may not be much but anything Canada does . And also stop trading with countries that continue to do business with them . Stop trading with Russia period . Canada must be ready to take as many refugees as we can .
She’s not all there
you must live in the west
If it doesnt work, JT can always invoke the emergency act.
Well that would be unprecedented in Canadian history! Said…Jagmeet Singh.
Why not just STOP BUYING RUSSIAN OIL? This is Canada we DONT NEED FOREIGN OIL.
Canada will do whatever the QUEEN says they will do and nothing else.
Canada needs to remain calm and do nothing
Don’t know why Justin Trudeau is sending troops when Putin told everyone to basically mind their own business.
What are Ms. Joly’s qualifications to be Foreign Affairs Minister ? Anyone know what her pre political carrier was ???
I would hope more than the last Conservative PM – mailroom duties.
Not really smart, just a pappy to this government
She can sing, dance and model nice clothes and speak French like Pepe La Pew.
Starve Russia of oil proceeds. Get North America back to being energy independent – Keystone XL!
Russia is considering the idea of nationalizing all foreign industry located in its territory, as well as appropriating all their assets. This knife is going to cut both ways.
Wrong question…its what CAN Canada do about Russia.
Support Ukraine by eating cabbage rolls and perogis for dinner
Canadian gov’t supports guerilla warfare, but not peaceful protest. Strange times indeed.
