There’s a difference between a nuclear explosion and a nuclear meltdown.
True,but a meltdown hitting ground water would cause contamination rendering local drinking water and the rivers that flow into the seas to contaminate most of the sea life.
@cpu554 A nuclear meltdown is a terrible thing and I didn’t mean to minimize any of the catastrophic effects of a meltdown. At the same time, I’m reminded of a quote by Adlai Ewing Stevenson – Vice President of the United States from 1893 to 1897: “Accuracy is to a newspaper as virtue is to a woman – but the newspaper can always print a retraction.”
Kharkiv is firmly in the Ukrainian army control. Earlier Russian vehicles entered the city, but they were destroyed and repelled.

People are quick to offer prayers to someone they’re told to feel bad for. Why don’t you feel bad for Palestinian kids being tortured ? Millions of Iraqis dead ? Afghanis sent back to the stone age with Ussr and US bombings ? Somalia turned into a never ending warzone ? I guess those lives don’t matter

STAY STRONG AND FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE
In case of nuclear attack:
1. Try not to be within two miles of any major city center, military base, or industrial complex.
2. Seek shelter in a basement, subway/metro station, or in a ditch if nothing else is available.
3. Avoid major roads, because panic will cause mass congestion. Only if you are near a nuclear target should you flee, on foot if necessary. You might have as little as five minutes after any warning, if there is one. If you are two or more miles from a nuclear target, don’t try to flee and seek shelter immediately. Don’t look at the flash from the bomb because it can blind you and the radiation can burn you or poison you. After the blast, wait a few hours until the immediate fallout has been blown away and to see if there is a secondary attack, then immediately leave the area, heading out as far as possible. Place a wet rag over your face to avoid breathing in irradiated dust. Stay far way from other nuclear targets.
