We need to get rid of the electoral college. 538 electoral college votes are a lot more vulnerable to bribery and corruption than millions of popular votes.
The supreme court just unanimously upheld that electoral college voters have to follow the results from their state and cannot deviate from that.

@George B Problem with that is the State has to first enact a law that makes the Electors vote with the popular vote otherwise they can do as they choose.
That requires a constitutional amendment. Those aren’t easy and can take decades. The ERA(Equal Rights Amendment) was NEVER ratified, almost 50 years later.
