Yeah. But the healthcare workers probably weren’t Trump supporters. And they’re the people suffering most. If covid “isn’t serious,” republicans should waive their rights to hospital beds and care when they contract it. Save the resources for the people who are trying to stop the spread.

I live in rural Missouri and like so many other places in the country, people have made mask wearing a political issue. You just can’t fix stupid.

I feel for all nurses and doctors. You can cure diseases but u can’t cure stupidity.
You would not believe how much my niece rages. She is a Physician’s Assistant at a ER and see this all day every day. When she comes across a “this is a hoax” moron as they lay nearly dead in their bed, she has to ACTIVELY make an effort to give them equal healthcare. Her sense of duty and general empathy overrides the other part of her brain that tells her “let them DIE”. I talk to her a couple of times a week, and what she goes through is amazing. One patient who insisted to the VERY END that the whole COVID-19 thing was a hoax would not permit her to call that patient’s family because they told her (and I quote): “I won’t have you spreading leftist lies to my family.” Then, he died about 1 hour later. So, yeah. How do deal with that? My niece is a superhero.
