A key Coronavirus model often cited by President Donald Trump's coronavirus task force, now says that deaths from Covid-19 will rise. Built by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, the model projects that there will be over 74,000 deaths by August 4.

The numbers will be way higher in actuality. This is the most conservative of the models, and it WAY under-forecasts deaths.

I’m beginning to doubt the abilities of Dr. Anthony Fauci if he’s saying there’s going to be a total of 74,000 deaths by August. If that’s what they are saying then that’s way off. Right now we have just over 59,000 deaths. Yesterday alone there was 2,470 deaths in the US. In the last month there has been between 1,200 and 2,000 deaths per day. And that’s with us staying at home. Now that some states are returning to semi-normal I fully expect to see the death rate to remain the same or rise. If that happens there will be at least 90,000 more deaths by August 4th. That will be a total of 150,000 deaths by August 4th. And believe me that’s an understatement. We will reach total of 74,000 deaths by May 10th. We will pass 60,000 deaths by May1st. The only thing that is going to save us is if when we return to work our employers will be smart enough to keep this virus from spreading in the workplace. And hopefully the safety training that employees receive at work will filter down through society. If the employers are smart enough to beat this virus and workers will take their employers seriously and catch on to the safety training at work and carry that training home then we have a chance. I’m here to tell you, we don’t have any leadership in Washington or at the State levels. Trump is an idiot and Congress and the State Houses are full of idiots. I have no confidence in our leadership.
