@Vrindawood Studios Yeah, it’s hard to stop ALL crime from happening. But my point here is that if you make the tools of crime less lethal, fewer people will die. You can do a lot of harm with an AR15 when compared to say, a butcher knife.
@Ro G Most definitely. I agree there will always be crime in society. The problem we have in The States is that we also have a huge black market for guns. People are worried that the criminals will always have the guns regardless of the legality. We have a lot of paranoia in the States though…
@Vrindawood Studios True. A lot of paranoia and fear, which is exactly what the corporations who profit off selling guns want. It’s not a surprise that when there are mass shootings, gun sales increase.
But I will counter that by saying if you apply that logic to drugs then we should just make them legal since people will still do them. Or let’s just let pedophiles run rampant on the internet since we can’t stop them from being into kids.
Their argument that “but they’ll find a way to get guns so why bother trying to stop them” is a pretty weak lazy attempt to solve the problem.
We already have more guns than people in the US. Having MORE guns seems like a dumb strategy at this point.

Sadly, you could stop the manufacturing of ALL guns cold and it wouldn’t change a thing for 50 plus year, there are simply too many guns. We as a society need to stop glorifying violence and address the core problem and that is lack of opportunity, massive wealth inequality and mental health.
Add really investing in education . A good start would be ; Forgiving the student debt of anyone who becomes a teacher for example, not providing funding based on property taxes of the surrounding areas is another great start!
@Llynnyia Great points, there is much that needs to be done, but working to equalize public education is indeed a great start. It seems crazy just how little people & politicians value education in general, but when poor, kids, which disproportionately effects POC are getting screwed even worse it is unforgivable. It isn’t by accident Republicans attack education and expertise, they want to keep as many people dimwitted as possible & at one another throats as they rob us.

🆘 Black lives matters rioting protestors are spreading the “Chinese coronavirus” around every major city.
When will the fake news people call out all these (Black Lives Matter) protestors that spread the “Chinese coronavirus“ all over the cities they were protesting in. Most all of them were running around and didn’t have masks on. The rioting protesters were too busy looting and burning buildings and tearing down statues but didn’t give a dam about spreading Chinese coronavirus or bringing it home to other family members especially the elderly.
