Roseau, Dominica – January 11, 2008………………..Prime Minister, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit, Ministers of Government and Religion as well as thousands of Dominicans are expected to converge at Morne Bruce on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 6pm for the Blessing and Re-dedication of the Cross at Morne Bruce.
The event, dubbed Reunion at the Cross is the second activity of Reunion year 2008 following the spectacular launch of Reunion Wivé in the early hours of January 1, 2008. There will be an Ecumenical Service to be officiated by representatives of the Christian community in Dominica.
The Cross is recognised as the ultimate symbol of Christianity and has come to symbolise the pre-eminent sign of God’s mercy. Dominica’s Constitution and National Anthem both recognise the supremacy of God.
Reunion at the Cross will be carried live by DBS radio. (Ends)
