  1. Candidate quality counts in Senate races, making it is more likely that the gerrymandered congress will flip. — Mitch McConnell.

    1. @John Brattan
How about you simply make the correction? A lot of people incorrectly associate congress with the House. His meaning was clear.

    2. @Pat Doyle Sorry nobody calls both houses congress. People say Mitch is in the Senate and Nancy Pelosi is in Congress. Don’t like that too bad.

    3. @Allen Aslin
Sorry, but educated people DO call both Houses Congress – as does the US Constitution. Maybe no one YOU know does this – which is rather sad. But I did not argue with the OP – I understand that many are unaware of the meaning of congress and use it interchangeably with House, and chided John for being a pedantic jerk for pretending that that misconception makes the OP somehow invalid.

  2. Mitch may look like an old turtle turd, but make no mistake, there is nobody in the senate with more political acumen, and if he`s a bit worried, so should the rest of the G.O.P.

    1. Who is over Baby-Man-Drama-Queen Drumpf??
      🙋🏾 🙋‍♂️ 🙋🏻‍♀️ 🙋🏾 🙋‍♂️ 🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. The fact that he could even run again makes our government a friggin joke. It’s all so ridiculous. Enough already!

    1. @Incognito The world?

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.”
      ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

At least we Christians save the children from the world. If laughing at Christians keeps you from sinning, laugh at us all you like.

  4. Reality for McConnell is he will not be Majority Leader again, so it’s right time for him to retire and enjoy the couple of years he has left on earth.

  5. Yes he said what we all are thinking about the candidates so what. He’s a little scared old politician watching his party implode and it’s their fault.

  6. Amusing to see and hear Oz being “grilled” over the campaign advertisement in the supermarket. Watched the advertisement myself and it caused me to laugh because money is certainly not an issue for him given the vast wealth he has. So why was he unduly concerned? Trying to relate to the poor folk like us who do struggle to survive from paycheck to paycheck. If ever Oz becomes in a financial mess he could always sell off one of his huge properties to make ends meet – that’s a luxury many of us don’t have.

    1. Broccoli, asparagus, and avocados aren’t grown in Pennsylvania but are in California. Maybe he should buy locally grown food.
I wonder how much gas and money this causes to the price of that food.

  7. Andrea, not sure what you are saying here…if you think McConnell represents you, good for you. I’m not sure how you come to that conclusion but good for you. As for the rest of us Americans, McConnell is out of touch and unrealistic in his endeavors. We need younger, less wealthy Americans to represent our cause. I’m sure you would be better off as well! Godspeed Andrea, I mean no harm…just speaking the truth!

    1. @Wesley Hitchcock No, I’m just calling out confirmation bias and hypocrisy where i find it, all well connected people had “medical reasons” provided to avoid the draft on both sides …. love your partisan take. Remain blissful.

  8. “most American’s have one house, maybe a beach house through a time share” now… who’s out of touch???

    1. Some people have rentals as a way to generate income, my neighbors from India have 4 properties they manage as airbnbs and they are using that to fund their children college.

    2. @John Doe It’s sadly often Eastern European and South/Southeast Asian spam. We have them here in the USA too, but these ones outnumber them vastly online.

    3. @Kimberly Garrett That’s amazing. It’s nice they can do that in India, because there’s at least an existing tourism industry over there. I have tried to invest in such a thing in the “adjacent” continent to India, but it’s very difficult.

I just have gotten too busy to be in and out of legal red tape.

  9. Interpretation!: because we are good at gerrymandering we will flip the house. But because Senate races are really state races we really 🤔 cannot win there!

  10. Oz quotes “per pound” prices without weighing the vegetables, and since when are avocado and salsa part of a classic French crudite, so he’s both trying to look folksy AND being a cultural dope about a “aspirational” cuisine to sound like he’s cultured (but isn’t). It’s a weird mix- as is he.

    1. @Pat Doyle the original post was the one asserting that the French have some sort of cultural claim to veggie tray… I was just saying that I don’t find it odd that some people like having avocado and salsa included. Peace be with you.

    2. @Kimberly Garrett
I grew up with the stuff – I got a job picking it at a local farm when I was 12. I later grew a bit myself. Other than tomatoes, there is no crop I know more about. And I LIKE it – when cooked decently. But when raw it is so nasty that when I came home as a kid from picking, my mom would make me was my hands because they stank.

Based on another commenter, I looked up if it was ever part of crudite, and it can be – but generally boiled first.

Seriously, grilled asparagus may be my favorite veggie – but I cannot fathom who could like it raw.

    3. @Pat Doyle I blanch and dry all my veggies before putting them on a tray and I usually have 2 or 3 dips. Works for my family. Peace be with you.

  11. There is so much over qualified competition today, I doubt McConnell will hold the trophy as anus of the republikan party but he undoubtedly gets an honorable mention as one of the cheeks.

  12. Neither Blake Masters nor Mehmet Oz are in “tight” races; they are on their way to losing by sizable margins (~10%) in November. Also, Ron Johnson should be on this list as well, as he is trailing Barnes in the polls.

  13. Looked up the store Wegners that Oz mentioned and this is all that I could find,”Wegener’s granulomatosis is a very rare disease that affects many different organs and systems of the body. It mainly attacks the respiratory system,”

  14. Whenever I see a thumbnail of this guy: “Is it Mitch McConnell or is it Mason Verger?” The resemblance is uncanny.
