I don’t know a tax on the successful is exactly the correct way forward but definitely closing tax loopholes so that the rich, and large corporations actually just pay their fair share. Amazon pays nearly now federal tax while being one of the largest countries in the world. We could just make sure that can’t get away with that.
Go research the top marginal tax rate during president Kennedy. Then you will understand how after the middle class was hallowed out and the rich then got richer.
