    1. The government is what we the people decide. If voters decide to elect sociopaths and con artists that screw them at every opportunity, then we have the government we deserve. TrueDemocracyNow.org

    2. @Dominick Palella I agree to a point, but it is a bit hard to put all the blame on all voters. Trump did not get into office because of the popular vote in 2016. I do not care all that much for Biden and I do not like a few of his cabinet picks so far but at minimum he has plans and policies and did not run on a “lock them up” platform. Plus I am very tired of kicking the can down the road when it comes to taking care of our own and from what I gather that is what Biden plans on doing.

    3. @Jim River Biden will certainly take care of his Party’s corporate and wealthy donors. Our electorate is far too indoctrinated to understand why we continue to have taxation, without representation that gives more of our tax dollars to to profit-making corporations than families in need. Unfortunately, the few voters that do understand, have no clue what to do about it. That’s why I started my website.

    4. @Jim River There are plenty of people and organizations that reveal corruption, but stuck in the belief that politicians should make all of their political decisions for them. The concept of voting, after elections, is what I’m trying to get across.

  1. 600 will get people through the next month and a half??? On what planet?? Can somebody call these wealthy politicians back down to earth where the real people live?

    1. @TJ exactly! Especially since these are our tax dollars. They are devaluing our currency to print trillions of dollars for covid relief and they are going to sick us with the bill for years to come!

    2. Get used to it, that’s your future. A lot of “those jobs aren’t coming back” accompanied by high unemployment.

  2. For 7 months they should have came up with an all-encompassing package. Especially with just $600 when other countries are able to provide monthly checks ever since the started to help struggling families get through this it’s ridiculous in comparison

  3. Wow! $1800 for each working person over a 10 month period! Wow! I hope it didn’t hurt the pockets of Congress too much!

    1. @Lynnoue Martin the 1800.00 is in reference to 2 stimulus checks. 1200.00 earlier this year and 600.00 forthcoming.

    2. Has everyone forgotten that Mnuchin also said a second round of $1200 checks would be issued starting August 8?
Trust not a one of them (Trump cronies).
Meanwhile McCONnell has been padding his pockets as well as his mail-order-wife.

    3. Perdue charges more than that to even take a meeting with his voters. Which is why I am voting blue in Georgia.

    1. Voters in Georgia would do well to remember that the Republicans didn’t act until they feared the loss of their Senate majority.

  4. The last thing the people need is to hear politicians who say people need more but it’s not forthcoming. We KNOW that.

    1. I heard one politician say people would “like” more. It is not a “like” thing. It is a “need” thing. It would be the same as saying I would “like” to have air to breathe.

    2. @Dianna Holton,I agree fully. That ”like” as opposed to the reality need more is the same as calling homeless people campers.

  5. mitch mcconnell is your typical unrealiable lackadaisical employee. he hears rumors of a possible replacement (jan. 5th senate runoff) and now he is mr. johnny on the spot. 🙄

    1. @john guzman well the sections that are done cuts out those areas and forces them to come thru in areas that can be better patrolled.

  6. I want to acknowledge that you properly corrected yourself. Survival checks! Until you can get that threw the heads of congress you should all be worried about your safty

  7. I project this, by the time some people are mailed a check, it will be returned to the government because they are homeless.😐

    1. I totally agree. The eviction moratorium will be ended before long. Congress will say the total of 1800.00 should have been fine to get us through almost an entire year.

  8. When does the damned $600 fall into my account, that’s what I need to know.

It took 4 months for the last stimulus to arrive.

  9. Scraps for the people. Scraps. What a joke. But yes Congress passed in the bill funding for themselves so they continue to collect $100k+ in salaries. What a joke. We live in a failed state.

  10. Greedy political millionaires trying to tell the average person to be happy with $600. The mf’rs probably spent more than that on their lunch.

  11. Plenty of money for the war machine and corporations, not much for the working man, America needs better priorities.

    1. Many I’ll be on the streets in the next few weeks n landlords are out there working around those eviction protections by using repairs etc as reasons to legally evict..help the landlords catch up by paying our rent or a chunk of it pd directly to landlord, not extending the date we have to pay it…without that help, we will just end up more in debt..n still evicted bc ummm..jobs?

  12. The fact that nothing was retro active. It’s a pathetic bill. Honestly with Mitch McConnell in nothing else will happen. Vote his powers away.
