When I was 22 I lent a friend enough money to cover his rent. He thought it would be funny to add “for sexual favors” in the memo line of the check I wrote him before cashing it. Except it was not so funny to my branch manager who got a call from the data processing department that encoded incoming and outgoing checks with the mICR codes along the bottom of the checks for further machine sorting. Considering that this video constitutes sexual assault, that of which he has been accused of many times before, I now interpret that quote as him telling us that he thinks men should not be held accountable for sexual assault and should be allowed to behave like this freely. Pressuring men to not sexually assault people is emasculating, according to Cawthorn.
