  1. We will never “move on” until everyone who incited, organised and took part in this violent attempted coup is held accountable.

    1. @Special People Ditto, they should be lined up and SHOT by the law and if they can run, we should follow them to scare them and make them feel the pain of FEAR for what they did to US!!!! Then I want to VOMIT all over them just to make their relatives feel shame.

    2. @Eric Klaus 10 months of destruction? You mean Trump’s last 10 month’s in office letting the pandemic ravage lives, and almost 500, 000 dead? We talked about that too.

    1. @Roger Beckner Oh poor baby….it’s sad that you do not understand the gravity of what happened.

I understand that Impeached dUmp loved the uneducated…..you’re special.

    2. Oh, I remember feeling that way when my gym coach whipped me with his whistle when I was only 8 years old, It ripped my dress cause he hit me so hard. I could even feel his spit on my face when he yelled at me and saw the sweat falling of his face. So yes, terror is horrible!

  2. Good for you ! I hope this bill if passed is a reminder that you can’t stomp on our democracy ! It’s been already fought for and it’s sad to see 7 lives gone 2 in which we’re taken on there own! ☹️it’s a sad 😢 day ! I’m just glad Biden&Harris administration makes me smile and I’m proud to say I support my President and Madam Vice President ! 🇺🇸👏👏👏👏👏👏😁👍💙💯

  3. Would be interesting to hear how men reacted to threat of physical harm ? What about if it was their daughter being subjected to the violence of that day .

    1. AOC reaction is normal . I went through something similar and I had a gun. Her fear is not exceptional , it’s human.

  4. Metoo, AOC. I have said it before, I will say it, again. You can heal, if you don’t give your power to the abuser. When you speak up, and, don’t keep silence, you take your power back from an abuser.

    1. I had a traumatic experience with a catholic man when I was 5. No one will ever believe you or I will murder your father and mother if you say anything was told. I tried to commit suicide many times in my teenage years and I didn’t get full recollection of my personal trauma until I was 46 and living in Canada. 😢

    1. In AOC’s video she talks specifically about how it was like an active shooter drill. I really hope that Congress takes future legislation surrounding gun laws seriously next time. Shame it took- what is hopefully- a once in a century event to do it.

  5. Getting over trauma takes years and these people are being told that: ‘just move on’. That’s exactly what abusers say and then go back to do it again

    1. @Julie B Exactly. I was a victim at 13 and now at 50 I still have panic attacks from it. It may get pushed to the background for a while but random, silly little things will bring it roaring right back. To have a member of Congress say it’s time to move on when justice has yet to be done shows the lack of empathy in them. I feel for AOC and all of those who ran or hid for their lives as the insurrection went on.

    2. @Sabrina Michelle Belle I am sorry for your panic attacks….I’ve never been sexually assaulted, but I had physical and verbal abuse from an older brother when I was 4 and 5 years old. He would try to suffocate me and now I have severe claustrophobia and PTDS and panic attacks. I could detect AOC’s panic and fear in the video and it really disturbs me how cruel people are in their comments about AOC. Stay strong! Use your voice! (my brother had undiagnosed mental issues and was possibly psychotic)

    3. @Julie B Ty. I feel for you as you continue to live through your life long battle with PTSD. I work in a warehouse distribution center here in South Central PA and one time, outta no where I saw a product that caught my eye. I didn’t immediately ‘put my finger on it’, so to speak but I felt my heart race and I started having a panic attack and then it hit me. The image of a guy on the package had the same eyes as one of my attackers (I was assaulted by 3 men). That’s all it took. Usually, my attacks are swift and leave me shaking for a few hours though not bad enough to leave work but that one was bad enough I had to leave work and go to Urgent Care for help. Just to drive there, it took me 30 minutes to find my car in the work parking lot….and I park in the same place every day for the past 5 years and yet, in my confused state of mind I couldn’t recall where I had parked. PTSD is real and can mess with you in ways you’d never expect. As for AOC, after all of the verbal harassment she’s faced in her short tenure in Congress, the riot on the 6th had to have brought all of that hateful rhetoric to the fore and it shook her. It’s totally understandable and I hope she gets the help she needs. She’s awesome and never deserved any of this. Neither did you, or any victim. You have my respect.

    4. @Sabrina Michelle Belle I am so sorry for your horrible trauma. It literally gave me goose bumps and made my heart race reading it. Irregardless, thanks for sharing your story. Let’s continue to support AOC and defend her from any nasty comments from those who are clueless (usually men…..) Peace.

  6. She’s 💯 correct about how ABUSERS always say, “move on.” Like it doesn’t matter. That you don’t count. There must be ACCOUNTABILITY! Because we all know, if they aren’t held accountable– they do it AGAIN!

    1. Ocasio-Cortez is an exceptional human. Her ability to express the truth of what she felt, her transparency to show us her humanity, requires bravery… Tr*mp is guilty. The Senate condoning seditionist behavior by sweeping Tr*mp’s ‘bad behavior’ under the rug is nothing but cowardice and betrayal…

    1. Please if you are able listen to the 1hour account of the terrifying events AOC experienced on January 6, 2021 but also the many many times she has previously been threatened. Her story is very compelling….to say the least.

  7. As a “me too” I totally understand this feeling. They must be held accountable for their actions and inactions.
