yes right now! He was the voice of europe for us, he never held back…they rightfully hate this “pres”. He will def be missed. RIP

He was the same age as me. But it only took a few seconds of his reports to make it clear that he was a special correspondent in the tradition of Murrow.

I got to know Chris while working together to report on and free colleagues taken hostage in Iran. He would call late at night to brainstorm, or send a supportive message like “I hope you’re getting some sleep.” His writing and mentorship reflected his acute sense of humanity and empathy. He will be sorely missed 💔
