What the hell or they to do with a total of 3 million dollars in each constituency that’s not even a drop in the bucket to fix road’s and drainage. It make absolutely no sense what that is telling jamaican is that only the people who are important and live in certain areas are going to see something being done the poor people in the most devastated will have to fend for themselves as usual. It’s quite obvious that the Government is not getting value for money from the relevant authorities responsible for building, and maintaining the roads in the Island. If roads are built properly,they would not be so easily washed out. The basic fundamentals, of building roads, are a solid base you can’t spread marl , then roll it with smooth drum roller, and then asphalt. If material is brought in it should be compacted with a sheep foot compactor to approximately %100 compaction, roads are built with a crown in the middle not flat, also slopes to the sides.
% 2 or % 1 You need to control water on roads let the water run where you want it to go, Proper drainage is of paramount importance. culverts where needed etc etc. AND PLEASE GET CONSULTING ENGINEERS, AND GET WARRANTY FROM CONTRACTORS, THAT’S THE ONLY WAY YOU GET VALUE FOR MONEY.
