  1. I have seen the same interview spun in two different ways. All I know is killing people to enforce your desires is wrong.

    1. @Alejandra Parker He meant it as the time of wars is behind us…we are better than that now… and not that it was not the right time for a war.

    1. @Vaen Those Ukrainians who have lost the people they love dearest in this existance will not find comfort in what people tried to do. This is the coldest of realities.

    2. @Rajkumar Singh A full belly is a poor substitute for the loving arms of beloved ones. Your food leaves them empty and your medicine cannot heal the pain of the loss of their love ones. A bitter generosity is what India gives. However that is India’s choice to make. I am but an observer.

    1. @เคถเคฟเคตเคฎเฅ เคจเคพเค—เคฐ which channel specifically as the US has many media channels with different perspectives.
However, your free to choose to watch or not watch themโ€ฆ What do you think the media channels are like in India?
Over a billion people then Iโ€™m sure a diversity of views. But if you think there is one view then some might call that brain washing.

    2. @TATAKAE I have a job. Itโ€™s day off. Itโ€™s just I tired of people grandstanding. There are many nations doing nothing but not grandstanding.
Iโ€™m pretty annoyed at all these comments of how much India is doing for peace in Ukraine. We 6 months on and all India has done is abstain in United Nations votes on the war, buy some cheap oil and fertilizer from Russia, and now at a summit which has nothing to do with the war Modi makes some comments that he is concern whatโ€™s going on, suddenly we get all these comments from nationalists how much Modi is doing for peace. By all accounts 10,000s of thousands of people have died both Ukraine and Russian side, millions of Ukrainians have been displaced, and people in the Middle East and Africa are starve from the months of wheat blockade. Hence I find the grandstanding quite disgusting to be honest. I donโ€™t care if people want to call themselves superpowers or not. But actually do something good in the world.

    1. india always sapport russia, through thick and thins ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ.

      Long live india-russia friendship.

  2. I must tell one thing, what Modi did today, looking straight at Putin’s eyes, was something nobody dares to do in 21st century ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

    1. Just like Trump, Modi is basically controlled by Putin and would at most make the very mildest criticism of the war.

  3. Russian fanboys are amusing!๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™‚
How dare Ukraine’s defenders attack Russia while the Russian invaders, invade Ukraine?๐Ÿ™‚
    ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  4. Well said. This isn’t time for war especially after pandemic when 6.5 million died. The money spent in war can be utilized towards healthcare education and jobs

  5. Nice that Narendra Modi just has to say a few calculated words to get a big point over. Even though India has huge problems of their own , who in their right mind would dismiss some advice from the the leader of the worlds biggest democracy?

    1. @Dhruv Hnk polling is different from approval rating. NDA gets ~43% of the votes. In certain north regions, he gets 80% of the hindu votes.

    1. @Loots 05 Because Modi loves peace and wants the war to stop.

You are absolutely right. Ukraine won’t accept India and I hope the west will support this stance. “The world largest democracy” not even being willing to condem this war in the UN was very …. interesting.

  6. India fears no one. India also continues to send humanitarian aid to ukraine( even though ukraine has supported pakistan militarily and voted against india a lot of times at the UN ) and india also voted against russia on one occasion recently at the UN.
    The best foreign policy ever.
Maintain relations with everyone and also have the balls to speak ur heart out to any country on the planet eye to eye without fear and also be able to make right ground actions( like offering to mediate for peace, provide humanitarian aid etc).
India is actually behaving as a true responsible global power. I can hardly find any other big country behaving so maturely. Kudos to modi๐Ÿ‘

  7. India’s view in general i think is like this (myself Indian)-

From the first day of war, the standpoint of India, as portrayed here in India, and also what foreign minister of India(FMI) has pressed many times on in interviews , is that India wants both parties to solve the issue though talks and diplomacy. This also reflects in what modi said in this clip.

India took the word of Russia, when it said that ukrain wants to join nato, and therefore invaded it. (Analogy for usa people – it’s like having Canada join hands with ‘Taliban controlled Iran’ i guess)

This may be why India abstained vote in UNSC. (India has voted two times in Ukraine’s favour though , both time, it was to allow zelensky to address the UN live and pre-recorded, which again signifies that India actually wants to let diplomacy and peace talks do the job, instead of war.)

About buying of oil from Russia. Indian Russian oil imports before war were below 1% or around that.(major importers were Iran, uae, some middle eastern nations, and USA, ) This increased when west imposed sanctions, as Russia offered discounted price. FMI again in talks with uk pm Truss (then foreign secretary ig) few months ago, told that the, reports he has seen suggest that, what India buys in a month in oil, it’s bought by whole of Europe in one afternoon through gas. And also that there was 14 or so% increase in Europe’s import of gas from Russia, compared to last month.(all this in same interview)

Another point people made, idk, if it’s right or wrong though, basically it says, if china, india didn’t buy oil, the increas in oil prices would’ve been more, poor nations would’ve been unable to buy it. And it would benifit America( the usual warmonger image basically) as it’s a leading importer, or maybe cz it controls many wells in middle East.

  8. What a wise man , we are pleased with Indian ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ leader !!!
Peace โœŒ๏ธ and dialogue is the solution!!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

    1. @Pratik . Although you are right, I think it is clear that EU is against the war, while India only speaks about it, but does nothing.

    2. @Kestutis Tauckela why India should do anything ๐Ÿ˜‚
This problem is created by USA !!

Europe should do something about it not india

    1. @GAS whole 100 % backing … They have agreed to continue with the integration of all Asia and Eurasia [ Even Loas has high speed trains integrated in Asia network ] …Its even to the point Pakistan has asked to be a partner .. want Nat gas , oil , food , tech
