    1. There’s no equality in the legal system.
If both women talked about were male then they’d have received a far longer sentence with no support from the media.

    2. @Cancun American Theyre all bad, by design. They get their checks from the same place the cops and prosecutor get their checks. Makes ya wonder whose side theyre really on

  1. “Oh I am so sorry. I feel so bad about this. I am so embarrassed.” Yeah. And how would you be feeling if you hadn’t been caught? I am thinking you’d not be sparing it another thought.

    1. am i joke too you?..
asks the clown on the judges bench in make up wigs and robes….
HA HA…welcome to your wake up call…..

    1. Puttentane Same
and you are just now shocked? Try looking back to beginning of this country. Then look at the justice systems of other countries
      and gripe LOL

    2. America is a Capitalist nation, and every Capitalist knows that by definition those with the most money are superior to those with less.

The superior purchase justice and that is what freedom is all about.

      MAGA 2020

  2. Justice is not blind. It is selective. Drink and drive while a prosecutor, cop, fireman/person and you’re one of them so no charge. Or it is ridiculously reduced to civil offense. White and poor or black then you become a felon. Of course don’t drink and drive. But if you are one of them you will not be charged. That’s fair, right? Why should it be any different for any other crime? Poor is abused and the rich are free. Same old story same old song and dance. Bye bye Ms American Pie, drove my Chevy to the levy …

    1. @William Burgess Stop spreading misinformation. You dont know what case you’re talking about because multiple Black mothers have been jailed for sending their kids to school out of district. It is a prevalent issue. The crime the black Ohio mother Kelley Williams-Bolar was CONVICTED of and sentenced to 3 yrs for is larcency, defrauding the school of 30k in education costs. The school disctirct officials said her daughters received a higher quality education they did not pay for because she used an address that was not hers to enroll them in a school out of district. https://abcnews.go.com/US/ohio-mom-jailed-sending-kids-school-district/story?id=12763654

The case you are talking about is the Black mother Tanya McDowell in CT who was convicted of 5 years for the same thing, The other charges that she had for selling drugs were used as leverage to pressure her not to contest the sentence. because otherwise she would have faced decades in prison for both. If you think that a drug case and a case about school draud would be tried at the same time. you’re CLUELESS and dont know how the law works. They are separate cases. Snopes had fact checked this story. All the people reporting the story are journalists and lawyers, so they arent misrepresenting the case, its just that they arent giving an extensive background on the case https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At_f2P1v3Y0

it was still too much for the prosecutors to even recommend a 5 year sentence or 3 year sentence, in Felicity huffman’s case the prosecutor recommended one month and she was sentenced to 14 days and it wasnt that she used a wrong address, she BRIBED people so her daughter could get into a school she wasnt eligible for based on her grades which were faked. Its defacto segregation how the schools in America prevent poor Black people from attending schools out of their district. Its questionable why it is even illegal for someone who is homeless to send their child to school in any district they want when they have no fixed address. If the mother had used an address in a Black neighbourhood to send her child to school she wouldnt have been facing charges. The motivation to arrest her, was people who saw her child in the school and thought they didnt belong. Also, the disparity in public school funding is immoral and reprehensible. the reason bussing was necesary is because the white schools in the wealthy neighbourhoods are always better because they are funded better due to higher tax revenue in those neighbourhoods. there should be an equalization of revenues for public schools.

    1. @james davis

Under the affirmative action, the school makes its decisions based on the law. On the other hand, the racist judges make their decisions base on PERSONAL FEELINGS while hiding under the law. The two are quite the opposite.

    2. @nailbiter i wonder how many black people will get killed by other black people or get HIV while you’re fighting ‘white privilege’.

    3. @nailbiter Thanks so much, but I know how Affirmative Action works, especially in the workplace. Read my original comment and the context in which I brought up Affirmative Action. You are just overreacting to anyone whom you feel had the nerve to post a comment disagreeing with you.

    1. @Dave Waldon me too. Most of the ones that call themselves liberal aren’t liberal. They are leftwing lunatics

  3. Since the black woman didn’t bribe someone and pay a fee she has to be pay a bigger price (prison time) smh this is America

    1. Yes America. Talk about it. Don’t try to change anything of course. But talk about it. So you feel good. Doesn’t it feel good? Talking about it. And sometimes whining about it. But actually trying to change it? Noo, no, that’s not your job. That’s the job of someone else!

    1. Adam Shortnacy, I’m a grizzly old dear who’s lived on the coal face of life. The older I get the more cynical I get about humans. No one tells me what to think and it’s as plain as the nose on your face that racism is alive and well and thriving. Like I said I’m white and I recognise my privilege. I’m not rich though and see that disparity too. For poor Black Americans it’s a double whammy.

    1. @Utha I agree with John Legend and I don’t think anyone of them should go to prison. We need more options than prison. We are the only nation in this world that does this.

    2. @Jammzy 100%, but my point is the comparison in the sentences, whether prison is involved or not, the black woman’s sentence (sorry I don’t recall her name) was much harsher for a much lesser crime. And I suppose this was the point of the article.

    3. @Utha oh yea I totally agree with you. TheMy other issue is that I feel as if she and Lori are being turned into the face of this. They will serve their time and then people will act like the entire admissions issue is solved with these 2 women. They haven’t even scratched the surface because some of the legal things these parents do are pretty unfair as well…

  4. A rich person committing fraud gets 14 days in Celebrity jail ……………….a poor person ……10 years in prison

    1. Yes America. Talk about it. Don’t try to change anything of course. But talk about it. So you feel good. Doesn’t it feel good? Talking about it. And sometimes whining about it. But actually trying to change it? Noo, no, that’s not your job. That’s the job of someone else!

    2. @Shin Glad to see you have been to america, they will let their democracy turn into trumps fascist dream land and do not a single thing. They deserve whats coming to them because they are a country of lazy racist idiots.

    1. ba sook
what’s your point? You should look at our history, Europe’s History. How about the History of the legal system in the world. LOL

    2. Well look at Killary, There is much evidence that she is a criminal, and she still walks amongst her evil minions and family. As far as Gates Another billionaire criminal.

Sheeple are making those (so called famous) people bigger then who they really are.

    3. Yes America. Talk about it. Don’t try to change anything of course. But talk about it. So you feel good. Doesn’t it feel good? Talking about it. And sometimes whining about it. But actually trying to change it? Noo, no, that’s not your job. That’s the job of someone else!
