@My Pet Crow The President’s physician can declare him unable to fulfill his duties. That doesn’t automatically remove him from office, however. Until the 25th Amendment, there was literally no legal way to take the reins of power from any President other than impeachment.
Nor was there any legal method of a President declaring _himself_ temporarily unable to fulfill his duties until the Amendment – no “chain of command”, if a President needed surgery, or had a TIA, for example.
If, however, a President’s physician DOES declare his patient incompetent, that would force the hand of the Vice President and the Cabinet – they are allowed then by the Amendment to act, and to not do so would be an act of insurrection against the Constitution.

For the first time in my life, I am very proud of our Danish Prime Minister and our Parliament, they certainly speak for the entire Danish public, even though the Danish public would probably have said NO to the Crazy Donald of the US in a much harsher way.
He always talks about how much the world laughs at the US, but it is not true the world looked up to and followed the US before He came to power, but yes now we laugh at the US 95% of the time and the last 5% of the time we are scared that the US have got a new edition of a person like Hitler. I’m no trumpist by far, but what these professionals are doing is unprofessional. They observe the president of their country in his role of president and come to a conclusion.
