A protester interrupted a press conference held by Justice Minister David Lametti to demand answers for why the government has continued arms sales to Saudi Arabia.

Why are we supporting that dictatorship?!
You have been doing that for the past 40 years. Stupid canadians
@Persian User That’s Canadians with a capital C, you ignoramus!
He’s has a point. The original deal was that Saudi Arabia wouldn’t use the armored vehicles in the Yemen War, but they broke that agreement. On the other hand, a lot of people’s jobs in Southern Ontario depend on that deal.
They could easily scout other buyers around the world. We are not dependant on Saudi arabia…
Carol Minnich I’d rather have the jobs
@makeouthill very insensitive comment. Youre obviously trolling her with it… its not a choose one over the other scenario… we dont have to lose jobs. We just need to source other buyers.
iGlesias Beats That’s easier said than done. You’re competing against the US military market, which is the preferred arms dealer for most countries.
Instead of u.a.e. how about our Canadian forces get those armoured vehicles
Stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia. They are not our friends, the strategic value is minimal, and politically it brings us nothing but ill will from other countries.
Justin must have some Saudi connections because he sells them weapons and he had the big coverup for SNC Lavalin who does work in Saudi Arabia
Lametti and Trudeau deserve each other!
pamela kingswell, True, and Canadians deserve better. We do not support the sale of Arms to Saudi Arabia. Trudeau is just after an UN Security Council Seat and he’s courting the Islamic Bloc by selling arms. So unbelievably gross I can’t stand it.
The guy is right and my vote in the next election will be based on it.
Who will you vote for? Conservatives inked the deal.
@Glenna Miles Not a dink, and never a PC Trump 2.0 PC’s are sad and really bad people.
Mine too
crooks kinda basic
The Liberals are finished.
I sincerely hope so, but they won’t go down without a huge fight. Sadly Trudeau doesn’t give two rips about anyone in Yemen, or even anyone in Canada. He just cares about himself and his reputation and he wants to ‘make a name for himself’ by securing that UN seat and he doesn’t care who dies for him to get it.
Finally someone asking the right questions of our government … CBC and Global news better be taking notes on how journalism is actually done
Stop funding anyone at the moment and slam the boarders shut. But we know that’ll never happen.
Vote PPC and we’ll have a chance

I hear you
@CTV
Thank you for posting this, keep up the journalism and providing us with uncensored/unfiltered news.
Liberals having standards? On the top of that the highest?😂
Who needs comedy channels??
But Justin can’t be mean to the Saudis, their feminist virtue out signals his.
Eves Engler is quickly becoming a national treasure. Our government openly justifying war crimes. Cute.
Canada has guns to sell?? Lmfao
Yes, why are we selling weapons to a country with abysmal human rights and currently at war with poor Yemen? Shame on the government for putting money before ethics.
Thanks for posting
Awareness of government corruption is important
