Priceless treasures stolen in castle vault heist in Germany

Thieves have stolen around 100 pieces of priceless treasure in an audacious heist from a castle vault in the German city of Dresden.
Several criminals gained access to the Green Vault, one of the largest collections of masterpieces in Europe, lifting artifacts of "immeasurable value," according to Roland Woeller, a local politician.
The vault features an astounding collection of historical jewelry and precious ornaments — from shimmering bowls carved out of crystal and agate to jeweled figurines and goblets fashioned from gilded ostrich eggs.
One of the most famous pieces of the collection, a 41-carat green diamond known as the Dresden Green, was not in the museum at the time. It is currently on loan to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

    1. Two Nazi Rat Bastard Republicans pushing an old conspiracy theory that was created by other Nazi Rat Bastard Republicans. Shove Yer pizza gate and your uranium one up your hole.

  1. This was an inside job, or the thieves had been scouting this place for a while. Whoever stole these jewels probably already had a buyer for them.

    1. Or the items will be disassembled, molten down and the gems sold seperately. Seeing how they went about it makes this scenario likely.

Thats the most likely thing to happen. You really cant sell these items to anyone but somebody who just wants them to have it in their own vault and never show it to anybody. Any effort to sell these pieces even on the illegal market will result in arrest.

    3. We have many Arabian family and immigrant-mafia in Germany. I would not be shocked if one of the paters wanted them

  2. These peeps are pretty amazed that an axe can smash things?🤨

If they are deemed “Priceless” does that mean they cannot be sold even with a lower than priceless bidder?🤨

They had two. But you cant expect them to confront up to four burglars who potentially are armed. Dont blame the security guards, blame the security installation for being so weak and easy to overcome that the immediately alarmed police was not on the scene fast enough – this whole thing went down in only a few minutes.

    2. Germany is a country where you get paid minimum wage. Nobody wants to stay midnight patrolling a museum for barely any money. You can’t live of 9 euros per hour in Dresden.

    3. I’m currently doing my Internship at the local TV channel of Saxony. We had a interview today with the director of that museum. She said that they had Security and they also noticed it. But in the end they didnt tryed to catch the thieves because they didnt wanted them to risk their lifes for the jewelery.

  3. The 5th installment to the Ocean’s movie franchise; “Ocean’s 2: The Green Vault”.

Review: ⭐⭐ Good but very short.

  4. I’m sure there are some rich individuals who wouldn’t mind adding those pieces to their private collection

    1. @tfcooks don’t think so mate. Iran is one of the few mega money laundering hubs left in the world. The question is why now. Blackmail perhaps?
