I hope I can be forgiven for the fact that, when I first saw this, I assumed Trump was throwing a ceremony to recognize himself. It is a good day when the President of the United States, who up to this moment has used his office for purposes of vanity, finally recognizes the many people who are putting their necks out right now. Long overdue. And if it is a sign that Trump will begin to “play President” like a big boy in the coming days, it is good news.
How many times have we hoped he’d grow into the office and be Presidential? Too many times to count. He’s just doing a one off and be back to his usual BS tomorrow.
