@Omni Alynne It wasn’t a known suicide attempt until after the fact. The man ran out of the car and the police have no idea that he’s unarmed. Then after they shot him, the police investigates the scene and finds out that he left his gun in the car. When looking at why the police (and everyone for that matter) did what they did, you need to look at what they knew at the very time they took their actions. You cannot use information that became known afterwards.

Ski mask? please tell CNN they seem to miss that on every report they give even though it was on the original police footage released. And sometimes they don’t mention the gun found in the car.

It seems to me like he regrets running from the police and surrenders himself in the worst way possible. The police action is brutal but they are the ones risking their lives, not us. If you run from the police and regret your action just get to the ground. Sorry that his family has to go through this! God bless!!

I love how he didn’t evade the police, stopped immediately when he was pulled over and put his hands on his head, when asked to get out of the vehicle, like an innocent person 😇

What to do to avoid getting shot by police:
1.Pull over when an officer turns his lights on behind you.
2.Don’t put on a ski mask.
3.Don’t fire a shot out your window at the officer.
4.Don’t exit and run from your vehicle and turn back towards officers and quickly reach towards your belt line.

I’m sorry, but if someone shoots their gun from inside their car, and then they get out of the car and start running. Even though the gun may not be in his hands when he left the car and started running, it’s very possible that he could have tucked the gun in his pants. The cops don’t know where the gun currently is, but they know he has one. Cops have to be 1 step ahead of criminals like this guy, 1 slip up, and an officer next to you, a civilian, anyone can die. So yeah, stop spitting all over each other talkin bout no justice no peace. This shooting was obviously justified.
