  1. If a cop can’t tell the difference between a Taser and a handgun then they are not fit to be a cop or be armed.

    1. Not to mention, the cop in Virginia said, “Boy, you getting ready to Ride the lightning” which means he was getting ready to tase him. Or maybe shoot him, who knows.

    2. @Crazy Fingers go ahead destroy your own cities. Destroy your own black owned businesses. If you don’t care don’t expect us to care. Just don’t come crying about it later

    3. What I don’t get is that even after the officer pulled out the gun instead of the taser, she did not realize it then… she even called out “taser” but then pulled the trigger. Are tasers shaped and mechanized the same as guns??

    4. @teddy ruxspin No, they are not the same. It was more of a rhetorical question. Tasers are plastic and bright yellow. Guns are solid black and heavy metal, also placed on the dominant side of the belt so the officer does not confuse the two.

    1. He provoked the incident by shoving the police. What is it with blacks trying to be hardcore?! It gets you dead!

    2. @Just Jess he caused his own death… when he failed to obey…
his actions, lead to his death
      there for
ONLY his action are responsible for his death

the lil mutt, in his disobedience… committed suicide by cop
and the world is better off with him gone

      YOU

      SHALL

      OBEY

      OUR

      LAWS!!!

    1. @TRUMP 2024 oh i get it , if you resist arrest then you are guilty and deserve to be executed on the side of the road without a trial…dead until proven guilty i guess…ya sounds like a ” free ” country to me . Look it may have indeed been an accident but if you make a big enuff mistake in ANY other job you get fired,.cops get paid leave .

    2. @OEF Combatveteran 🤣🤣I laugh at your idiocy. I own trucks and i make fortunes, not a living. Try another line bozo.

  2. *America is* “the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between.” ~ Oscar Wilde

    1. Obviously not a tazer. It’s in the camera. Accidentally discharged… how many years on the force? Wow any excuse works now? Murderer! Wait…. mistakes happen?

    2. @Lawrence bolt Said very well not to honor that @Dump Comment. YouTube is allowing trolls to taunt and bait people who just want to talk about what they feel strongly on, and their processing of reports on hate speech and harassment is now little to none. When we see the trend, we can make a POA, and mine is to 😕 at trolls and mute notifications from them so they don’t buzz MY phone trying to get under my skin and darken my outlook.

    3. @Rune – Thorne You have a really good grasp of how “welfare” works. I’m sorry you were affected by the pandemic; it brought a LOT of people who had never needed assistance to food lines and assistance programs, and in turn showed some of them how the vast majority of not-well-off people live every day. Were it not for that assistance/welfare, how many people would have been in an EXTREMELY bad way…? I hope you are doing well again and back on your feet.

  3. So basically what the police chief is saying is that training doesn’t work
Maybe she didn’t remember if she was right handed or left handed

    1. @TRUMP 2024
Well, I learned from all your comments that you are constantly lying. So pls just stop posting your right wing populist propaganda, Neonazi crap.

  4. A person whose been a police officer for 26 years can tell the difference between her gun and taser. FOH

    1. What I don’t get is that even after the officer pulled out the gun instead of the taser, she did not realize it then… she even called out “taser” but then pulled the trigger. Are tasers weighted, shaped and mechanized the same as guns?? No they are not.

    2. @Liron Deline who cares? 1 less punk thug at the end of the day. It’s a win for society.

  5. She’s been placed on standard administrative leave and will be RIGHT BACK ON THOSE STREETS making “accidental” mistakes very SOON! 🙄

    1. @TRUMP 2024 do you think that conservatives are somehow immune to becoming single mothers or welfare recipients? I promise both of those occur at similar rates amongst Republicans and Democrats. The main difference is conservatives shun and disenfranchise single mothers and the poor while progressives seek to help them. Work on those critical and objective thinking skills little guy.

  6. brilliantly said, ty all, but she had 26 years in, no rookie, not a ‘mistake’. something is very wrong in that city, with that whole murderous pd!!!

    1. Hmmmmmm because somebody with 26 years experience in something is the inability to make mistakes. GTFOH

    2. @Shane Peterson A gun and a taser? Killing someone as a result? Yes. After 26 years that’s an insane claim to make. Two different sides of her body?
Or do you think it would be easy to confuse your taser with your wallet? This is just her attempt to get out of a murder charge after murdering an unarmed man.

    3. @Shane Peterson What I don’t get is that even after the officer pulled out the gun instead of the taser, she did not realize it then… she even called out “taser” but then pulled the trigger. Are tasers shaped and mechanized the same as guns??

  7. Wow, they sure had a lot of police and National Guard. Nothings like Jan 6 with white insurrection

  8. Wow. More protesters were arrested last night than the terrorists who marched on the capital on January 6th.

    1. @TRUMP 2024 Manafort – charges of conspiracy against the United States. Manafort also failing to register as a foreign agent of Ukraine and Giuliani’s Ukrainian guy was a Russian intelligence operative and Manafort’s contact was also a Russian intelligence operative. So who exactly was Manafort conspiring with?

    2. Trainer RED
your definition of protesters is too far to the left. Rioters you mean. 405 were arrested in Washington. How many were arrested in Minneapolis?

    3. @Alex Hamilton 414 right-wing terrorist insurgents who stormed the Capitol have been arrested so far (only about 30 were arrested at the Capitol on the day of the attempted coup) and about 40 protesters were arrested this week in Minneapolis.

  9. Funny how reactive the response is but when it comes to domestic terrorist storming the Capitol, “nah let them”

    1. It’s a matter of numbers. Police outnumbered Wright, so they had were in control, and then they overreacted. At the capital, the police were severely outnumbered. The national guard had been delayed. The police were unable to stop the mob, despite trying their hardest in most cases. And there were some instances of cops that were working with the rioters. They were simply traitors.

    2. @David Hale LOL the officer was telling that woman to stay back, to not break/come through the glass… a mob behind her cheering her on as she trespassed and vandalized the capitol that she and others broke into in order to thwart a federal and lawfully sanctioned session of congress to confirm the electoral votes. That’s call insurrection and sedition… which is called treason. Was the officer wrong in discharging his gun? Perhaps… but maybe she and everyone should not have been storming the capitol. What do you think they would have done to the officer if they had all gone gotten through?? Seeing what they did to others on the scene.

  10. You can’t be a 26-year veteran police officer and claim you didn’t not recognize your fully loaded weapon from a taser. That was another test run.

    1. I agree Fred. We can’t let the police lower the bar even further; if you have that much power and authority you also should have that much responsibility and accountability for it.

  11. Yerr right trained with one direction shoot 1st ask questions later …that was no water pistol she knew what she was doing…it’s murder…

  12. “But, Your Honor, I just _accidentally_ pulled a gun and demanded the bank teller give me all his money. Precedent? Daunte Wright.”

    1. Stefan Frankel
“but your honor, the fool resisted arrest, pushed my partner and I only had seconds to react to stop him, human error” Precedent? Every case where someone
with a warrant out on them is stupid, resist arrest, makes a run for it and is now wishing they had a do over.

  13. The police need to be careful of what they ask for. You can’t expect this not to happen when you say we investigated ourselves and found ourselves not guilty.

    1. The cop will have her day in court, and will likely go to jail. There’s no point in us being the judge, jury, and executioner.

  14. She’s been a cop longer than that young man was alive..imagine telling future members of that family why he’s no longer there. The real reason why, not the lame excuse…

    1. @Paul Wilson RESISTING AREST IS A NON LIFE THREATENING CRIME ! NOT A LIFE THREATENING CRIME ! Wilson get a life !

    2. @Judith Wake resisting arrest is a non life threatening crime is it Judith Woke? That’s interesting. A lie, but an interesting one. Let’s say miss woke, as a hypothetical, that youre a cop and you try to arrest me and I resist this attempt of an arrest by grabbing my gun and shooting you in the head. That’s resisting arrest right there, and I’d argue a very effective method of it if I could pull it off before you get to your gun. Is that not life threatening though? You gonna yell about how resisting arrest is an act of peace and love with a bullet in the brain? Forgive me, but I just don’t see it. The reason your lie is interesting though, is because you’re not the first I’ve seen using it. Why do you think that is? Do you think you might be taking part in forcing a narrative maybe or?

    3. @Paul Wilson Resisting arrest is not punishable by death, even if it was the police are not judge, jury and executioner despite right wing fascist fantasies to make it so.

    4. T Ross I can tell them. This is a horrible tragedy If Mr. Wright had complied to police and did not resist arrest
and try to run to his car he would still be alive today. Unfortunately because of his actions the police officer rushed
to grab her taser and pulled her gun instead and shot and killed Mr. Wright. She will be given her due process as with all Americans.
The only good thing that can come out of this tragedy is that people who have warrants on them should comply with police when they are stopped and apprehended.
If you do not then there are 3 possible endings. More jail time, Hospital time, or a temporary space at the city morgue for a few days.

    5. T Ross what do you think is “the real reason”? What makes a reason “lame “, that it isn’t what you want to believe?

  15. 26 year veteran. Gun on strong side, taser on weak side. Training, training, training. Muscle memory until you just don’t make mistakes. Still waiting for an explanation

  16. Like Trevor Noah said, it’s really funny how they can identify a gun when it is on a victim, but can not identify the gun on their own hip from a taser?

    1. Actually they can’t identify a gun when it’s on a victim. They mistaken toy guns and tasers for real guns all the time. They are acting out of their fear of worst case scenarios. It’s human nature.

  17. I understand the anger we’re feeling and looting does not help the situation at all it’s like setting your own house fire.

    1. Call your senators & protect your COUNTRY! Tell them to PASS the Justice & Policing Act in the Senate NOW ! In a system that is this unresponsive to the well being and wishes of the public it serves, VIOLENCE is the ONLY WAY TO GET THEIR ATTENTION ! Call your senators & protect your city ! PASS the Justice & Policing Act in the Senate now !
