A senior officer,couldn’t tell the difference between a taser and a glock , then how did she know whether to unholster the weapon at all,just saying.
So the cop doesn’t even know if he’s holding a taser or a gun?! I don’t get how you can graduate training and be released to patrol the street if you can’t even tell the difference.

So did the cop not know the difference between a gun and a taser or did they just have horrible trigger discipline?
That’s what I’m wondering, like I was even confused why she was yelling taser, taser, that clearly was not yellow like most of the police tasers I’ve seen. Or at least any yellow on it. And is there not a decent weight difference that u would notice? The only up close taser gun I’ve seen by a local cop looked plastic almost. I’d guess they’re a lil stronger, but still not the weight of a steel firearm. Am I wrong?

Her standing back and not even being 1 of the hands on cops, “in the heat of the moment” she still should have seen the missing yellowness besides the weight difference. This is sad again. It’s like never ending. And the army lieutenant who was clearly mistreated in Virginia, that video just came out yesterday when it happened in December. More bs, the 1 thing that chief today did right was imeadeatly releasing the video. As it should be. Its recorded and stored in real time, we have the right before they could possibly edit it. It’s just sad. Because it continues to happen.
A black military man is peppered sprayed without provocation in Virginia. Now, this cop can’t tell the difference between a taser gun and Glock? They need to stop hiring rejects.
@stevenp25100 it all comes down to training. They don’t train these officers and they don’t have the time and 300 a month to go to mma classes. So ya more and more officers resort to using their guns because they are not trained to fight and subdue people

Started shooting guns on the farm at 6 years old. My Dad taught me then you never put your finger on the trigger unless you’re ready to take the shot. Seems to me these cops aren’t as well trained as a 1st grader.

It is very sad for the family and friends of Daunte Wright. Equally as sad is the fact that we as Americans are so accustomed to these types of incidents happening. We all need to take a collective pause and look in the mirror and truly be brutally honest about what we stand for in America and how we want to treat other people.

I have a friend who accidently shot and killed his brother while target shooting. He is sitting in jail doing 5yrs for man slaughter. I doubt the trigger happy cop who shot Daunte will even see the inside of a courtroom let alone go to jail.
Let’s all hope she doesn’t…….

@Gypsy Outlaw Well, today I was thinking about those cop classes we’ve all seen…where they are given blank ammo and have to make a split decision if some placard coming out a closed door or behind a wall is a bad guy or average joe. I was wondering if you went to that class, everyday, for months, to train you to make the right choice in a second…..would it make you perfect? At the end of 6 months would a person make the right call 100% of the time? My point= cops are human just like everyone. I cut them some slack making life decisions in a fraction of a second
