Plane Crash In Iran Shows Signs Of More Than Mechanical Failure | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

Jeff Guzzetti, former NTSB investigator and FAA accident investigation chief, talks with Rachel Maddow about why the outward indications about the passenger plane that crashed in Iran the night Iran launched missile attacks against bases in Iraq, suggest more than mere mechanical failure. 1. Najati Ghazal nawww It is very easy to do shoot down airliner after takeoff and perfect target for low tech groups eq Kurds/ Mossad….have you ever seen damage an air defense missile will do …pics do not indicate this

    2. @Bob Marshel The pictures show shreds and pieces, how much more damage do you expect! Also I’m not saying it was hard to shoot it down by other means but I don’t see why anyone would do that at this time and place and for this particular airplane.. it doesn’t make sense. The air defence accident seems more plausible since I’d imagine the air defence systems around Tehran were on high alert due to anticipated american counter strikes so there was a high chance of mistakes like this happening

    1. supernumery People either forget or just ignorant to what aggressors the US has been towards that country.

  1. Just keep in mind the odds of plane crashing are one in 5.4 million, that too in Iran ? Super coincidental right ? πŸ€”πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

    1. @Itsme Soil That aircraft is one of the most successful airliners of all time and one of the most reliable

    2. @Mark Keogh If they had such footage they’d have shown it by now. We’ll only see footage after it has been doctored by the CIA just they did with those phoney, “smart bomb” films in Iraq

    3. how did you get those numbers?
out of your thumb i suppose.
      the odds are way higher.
take the number of all planes ever built and divide that by the number of all crashes.
i believe it is fair to say that one in a hundred would be close.

  2. It is strange how the crash was immediately called a mechanical failure. It usually takes more time to establish the facts.

    1. @Muhmmed Nadeem every redundant system went off line at the same time …video of the plane in flames going down..black box immediately confiscated. The plane exploded

    2. @Muhmmed Nadeem The plane was at 7,925 ft moving at 509 km/h when they lost radar.
Russians are well known for building EMP ground to air weapons.

    1. Question could come down to, was it the Americans or the Iranians?… I can only speculate that Iran is a bit more favourable to Canada… but who knows.

    2. The missilery had sequestered their targets. The heightened state of alert was palpable. Waiting for possible repercussions, the Iranian self-defense battery was trigger happy. An unannounced blip on the radar was startling, its proximity immediately noticed. The stealth aircraft was opening its bay doors. The operator did not flinch. Doctrine stipulated to fire while acquired. Even before the next commercial aircraft identity signal would be broadcast, the fire and forget missile was deployed.

  3. There is a mid-air explosion just before the impact, if this is indeed the aircraft in question.
But the timing, and the location, is very, very suspicious.

    1. It was blown out of the sky by a missile. Iran said it was a mechanical problem hours after the crash, with no investigation, we all went hmmmmmm!πŸ€” Those poor innocent people!

    1. @Serena CIA coverup is entirely possible. Don’t be a sheep. Now if they were your family members then I would believe. Don’t believe everything you see on thew news.

    2. Mostly Iranian students heading back to college after the holidays. But yeah be sure to acknowledge the fairest minority demographic. πŸ˜‰

    1. @o o It is incredibly sad…innocent lives lost;someone’s Mother,Sister, Son,Child,Friend,etc…….how about compassion??

    1. if the flight was shot down then it definitely had nothing to do with America, look at the location, no US assets anywhere in range. I’m guessing some nervous soldier watching the radar scope of an anti-aircraft missile site saw the plane and though it was an enemy aircraft. In this regard it may be similar to Flight 655 in that the main issue was “scenario fulfillment” syndrome. But definitely it was over Iran, they are the only ones with those capabilities that close to Tehran.

    2. @supernumery I know right? I can’t believe trump found a way to convince Iran to shoot down their own plane! Seriously, I cant believe it because its super dumb.

    1. Sadly it was. Trudeau has now told Canadians in one of his many addresses to us that there is evidence to show the plane was shot down.πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ˜πŸ˜’πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜’πŸ˜πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

    1. Boeing aircraft have a history of losing altitude after sections of the plane have been destroyed by missiles. They need to work on that.
