It is a constantly evolving system that stems from policies of multiple administrations over the course of many years. So to say one person is responsible for any of it is ignorant and uneducated. It’s called following a trend. Look at any economic chart for the past two decades and you’ll see what I mean.

Sure billionaire companies are helping out people. But if the government helped the people instead of giving it to the companies to give to the people? That sounds like an unnecessary step. I’m not talking about the poorest people they’re fine. It’s the lower middle 25% that needs help.
@Connor McLaren see views like yours are what happens when people pay half attention. Do you know why they cut gig workers out of the coronavirus stimulus package? Because at the end of the day those servers, bartenders and Uber drivers can easily go find other work at places that are still open. They have an income level and lifestyle that can easily be matched by working for Target, Amazon or Walmart.
And before you suggest they can’t I am an assistant manager at a Circle K here in Denver and we’ve hired three people at our store in the last week. One is a guy that was waiting tables tables and did Lyft on the side, a girl who got laid off from Red Robin and a roofing contractor.
They all say that they are happier having a job then relying on government benefits. This is the perfect example of losing jobs in one area and gaining jobs in another area and the workers being able to shift very easily.
Unless you are suggesting that it’s better for people to sit on their butts on welfare than working for their living.
