Paul Butler On Derek Chauvin Trial | Craig Melvin | MSNBC
I’d like to see the cops that murdered Breonna Taylor held accountable as well. If the police start getting real prison time, they’ll change.
@Mike Sampson me too
No..the reason Brianna was killed was because of his boyfriend firing at the cops…if the boyfriend was white then you would say that too..
@Sun Dial If the boyfriend were white you would not know her name.
That’s not going to happen.
@Mike Sampson
True….😃
At this point, a cop could be recorded executing a black person on their knees at a stop like a cartel soldato and there would still be no charges filed, much less a conviction.
Like how they did Daniel Shaver
I don’t think so.
Yes, that is the definition of propaganda…
And let me know when they arrest the people who murdered Breonna Taylor. 🙄
she shot at the police, are they not suppossed to shoot back?
@ebagig white Her boyfriend is the one who fired back, as he was awoken in the middle of the night by the police breaking in. She was shot 8 times, while sleeping in her bed.
But no no, you totally make a good point there. 🙄😅😂
@Ro G its not fired back he fired first u big no brain DUMMY LMAO
Babbitt’s killer still has a job.
Gupana’s address is still phony.
Paul! Paul, I’d add a floating mic above you hooked up to get better audio, less room acoustics.
Who is ? Lets shoot them all who aren’t perfect !!
This reply was for Howard Solheim.
I think we all should be prepared for him being found Not guilty.
@Mutton Chops The justice system will have to let this all work out. If a jury finds them not guilty then that was the will of the jury. The jury listen to the fax, the jury listen to the evidence and they made their decision. We cannot let the justice system be ruled by a mob.
@T. R. Campbell very true but the system is courpt and on the side of cops iam old enough to remember Rodney king that didn’t work out so good ✌️
@Mutton Chops What many people fail to understand or lose sight of is that the ultimate authority over a city Police Department rests with the Mayor and the City Council. These elected officials have control over all city departments to include sanitation, streets, water, electrical, permits and inspection, HR, fire and police departments, etc.
These city officials are responsible for the heads of each department to include fire and police chief, the city officials also direct policy. The police department is the armed enforcement agent of the city and is expected to enforce the laws passed by the elect a representative. The elected city officials also negotiate police union contracts.
If people do not trust the police department that also reflects negatively on the elected officials. We often like to cast aspersions on the police department because they are in uniform and they are usually recognizable. Individual officers might perform badly and often that is a result of training or lack there of. Training is expensive and during these times of city budget issues, training is the first thing to be sliced. All of this though must reflect on the respective city governing body.
All of what we see goes back to the inept Mayor and City Council of The respective cities.
@T. R. Campbell well said I do understand that and the police unions have a lot of power to protect the police so what do you think should be done ?
@Mutton Chops We also have to understand that the police unions like any other labor union are designed to enhance the work environment of their members. Unions are concerned with pay and benefits as well as working conditions. Mini police union contracts contain something known as a “police officers bill of rights” which gives police officers basically the same rights as an individual. Both the city government and the police union provide negotiators to hammer out a new lease contract when the time comes. Both sides agree to the conditions of the less an impasse in which time the courts become involved.
In the case of a death at the hands of a police officer there are basically two investigations.
1. Criminal investigation: This investigation might be performed by internal affairs or criminal investigators within the particular Police Department in question. The investigation could also be investigated by an outside police agency within that state. Often times also there might be a federal question regarding the incident and the FBI might join in the criminal investigation. Depending on the contract the officers under investigation might have the same rights as a citizen. They can request legal representation and they might want to not answer questions until they obtain legal representation. The police department can conduct forensic investigations, Crime scene investigation’s gathering witness testimony without obtaining a statement from the officers involved.
2. Procedural investigation: this investigation is often conducted by the departments internal investigation department with perhaps input from human relations. This investigation is designed to determine whether or not the officers involved performed according to standard operating procedures, their training, general and operational orders of the department. The question that needs to be answered is, “did the officers conduct themselves according to standard policy and procedure”? Was policy and procedure followed?
The officers involved must answer questions in this procedural investigation. Generally the head of the internal affairs unit will shut the officer down and say, “ i’m going to ask you some questions about this incident that you were involved in. You must answer my questions or you will be fired on the spot. If you lie to me you will be fired on the spot. If you failed to tell me the entire truth you will be fired on the spot. Do you understand?” The officer has a great deal to lose because if he or she is fired they will likely lose their union legal representation, lose all of their rights and privileges and still be subject to a criminal investigation. This type of an internal investigation can be absolutely grueling.
The question is then asked, how is policy and procedure determined and is the present department policy and procedure the best that could be applied to the situation? Many departments have attempted to protect themselves by having their policy and procedure meet a national standard through CALEA or the Commission on Law Enforcement Accreditation. Obtaining accreditation for a police department is grueling and rigorous. CALEA has incorporated best practices for a wide variety of police departments to include small municipal departments up to large metropolitan area departments in which thousands of officers are employed. They also establish best practices for state police agencies. Once the department has been accredited then it is required that the department remain accredited. It’s not easy. If you have a department loses accreditation they should waive a red flag because something is wrong.
You might want to ask your local police department if they are accredited and if not why not? I hope this answers some of your questions.
What this says to me is, the Lawers know he won’t be convicted of 2nd degree murder, so they’re covering their backs.
Once you understand the Biden Team as a group of sick and twisted laboratory staff members that view you as the devil’s lab rat the devil’s property, then the proper level of interpersonal communication might be achieved. The way in which you communicate with the criminally insane yes.
2nd, 3rd, 4th degree…. 🙄
The toxicology report on Floyd is going to be extremely problematic for the prosecution in order to obtain any type of conviction. Note I said any type of conviction. The reason I say this is because as a result of the post Mortem toxicology report the findings were that George Floyd had a fatal amount of fentanyl in his system. This was a fatal amount of fentanyl. One of the effects of fentanyl poisoning is a suppressed respiratory system.
So, if George Floyd had a fatal amount of fentanyl in his system that suppressed his respiratory system the prosecution is going to have to prove that the knee on the neck was the cause of death. We will note in testimony that Floyd said he couldn’t breathe. What is this respiratory failure caused by fentanyl or the knee on the neck.
We can salvage some good out of this because we could use the death of George Floyd to attack fentanyl addiction and the fact that fentanyl is arriving in the United States from China at an ever increasing level.
@INSECT BITE *-* I’m not spamming anything I’m simply stating the prosecution is going to have a very difficult time. The effects of a fentanyl overdose is a suppressed respiratory system. Don’t take it out on me.
@INSECT BITE *-* it was legal at the time lmao
@matt this was in 2020 and he was handcuffed.
@T. R. Campbell well billions of people are making the same comment as yours like part of an evil narrative. Also wrong is wrong and this was a desision made on skin color. Police should be responding to crimes and making the place safe and NOT forcing people to diy when they find them.
@INSECT BITE *-* I don’t understand your logic but I respect your right to say it.
Influencers have been getting paid to stir the pot for years. Old news
Paul Butler is an operative for. Left & m.s.n.b.c
This case is not a slam dunk. I suspect there will be riots afterwards.
Fr
Go to any hood and talk to a drug dealer’s girlfriend. Breonna wasn’t Snow White.
Wym?
If he’s found not guilty their will be riots however if he’s found guilty their will be riots.
Trust me no one would have the balls to come out in Minnesota in support of this police officer. The Minneapolis police have a terrible history and most people don’t like them.
After getting rid of ,D.T all of this sinful and killing from those men in blue will stop 🚏🛑 you can not hide behind him now ☺️
Stfu
brilliantly said, ty both. that is important to know, more options so that murderer doesn’t get away with it.
We would like #BLM, #BLACKPANTHERS, and #ANTIFA in Minneapolis for this important historic event. Show the city you care!
