A passenger with no flying experience had to unexpectedly land a small aircraft in Florida after the pilot became "incoherent" during the flight.

Um, how is the controller telling a TOTALLY INEXPERIENCED passenger, in a life or death situation (!!), to casually just call another airport’s tower, on his CELL PHONE (!!) , when he’s trying NOT TO CRASH AND DIE?! Huh?! He’s scared, nervous, unsure: he doesn’t have time, or the steady nerves to multitask, or, to look for his cell and dial some number, without a writing instrument, while simultaneously “trying to slowly descend”, and keep the “wings level”, as instructed. That controller should literally be fired. I am flabbergasted. I guess he realized the above because he connected the passenger on the same frequency in which the guy called him. Unbelievable. SMH
Just because you’re an air traffic control person doesn’t mean you know how to fly a plane. And even if he did, so many different planes and flying levels.
