  1. Build in a flood plain and surprised when it floods?? Hmmmmm Could it be that is why indiginous peoples didn’t build permanent housing and moved around from season to season?

  2. “We need to implement a flood tax to help with the cost of floods.” – Justin Trudeau

  3. Why not build pipelines for water transport? Send it to Sask. and Ab. We’re dying of thirst out here.

    1. Because capitalism only exists to profit from problems, not solve them. If it cannot profit from a problem? Its not its problem…..

  4. For as long as I can remember Manitoba gets flooded every spring, maybe it’s time to settle on some higher ground.

    1. Have you been to southern Manitoba? I don’t know of this ‘higher ground’ you speak of

  5. Got right to the point..much appreciated, none of the usual young women running around in bikinis and high heels tickling each other nonsense, thank you.

  6. They’ve seen this before, and they’ll see it again. I lived there for 5 years, it is amazing how they have water management down to a fine science in such a flat place. Shellmouth reservoir, Portage Diversion, Winnipeg Floodway, Brunkild flood wall, Hoop & Holler Bend….. They know what they are doing.

    1. @Jacob Mar Thank you for the giggle.
I live in BC , rain capital !
And we don’t flood, all rain goes into ocean.
      🤭no tax.

  7. Manitoba is one of the coldest provinces in Canada… And the flooding…. Makes me depressed just thinking about living there.
