CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh, travels with a group of migrants as they make the arduous trek on foot through Central and South America.
The journey through the Darien Gap is a perilous jungle crossing between Colombia and Panama that many migrants must face as they head north to seek asylum in the United States. Over five harrowing days, Paton Walsh hikes the full 66-mile roadless route, documenting the heroism of everyday people, milked for cash by drug cartels and unwanted by any country, as they battle the dense rainforest in search of a better life. Very disturbing video. Poor people lost their lives. I’m grateful to Lord for taking me to the U.S through the legal route via U.S embassy overseas, then I had an interview, the administrative processing, all the required medical exams, police clearances been provided fees been paid and finally an immigrant visa. In total it’s taken 3 years. Then I worked hard, paid my taxes while on a green card. Now I’m a proud U.S Citizen after 8 years 🇺🇸 In my life I had to take certain steps working hard overseas to move forward. I saved up, I got education. I had the knowledge how the system works and what the rules are. But I would never ever would risk my life going through the jungles to lose my own life it doesn’t worth it. If I didn’t get the immigrant visa 8 years ago I wouldn’t come to the U.S.
Born and raised in Russia. Lived in Australia prior to the U.S.
Thanks for sharing! But when one has little, one has few choices.
@Opera Singer I left my home country at age of 18 with 200$ In my pocket I worked hard 14-16 hours every single day as a waiter in the Middle East on temporary working visa saving up all my money 💰
@Opera Singer there are always choices especially with Latin American passports which allowing visa free entry to Europe for example. I didn’t have such a privilege with my Russian passport at that time coz Russian passport is really sucks. I don’t understand Latino people risking their lives trying to get to the U.S whilst they legally can enter Spain for example which is in Europe with high living standards, job opportunities, the same Spanish language. Moreover Spain got the most loyal program towards the immigrants. In Spain after 2 years possible to obtain residency. If I was from Latin America I would fly Visa Free to Spain. Russian citizens for example need to apply for a visa to visit Europe and other western countries. Especially now it’s nearly impossible due to the sanctions and the war in Ukraine Putin waged.
Joe: I did that.
Try this in Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or China then demand assistance, handouts and citizenship upon arrival. Make sure to come tell us how it goes.
Joe Biden Don’t care 😅
This is what happens when you allow everyone in that shows up to the border and we are now giving health insurance too .
The hell with these people
