@Ottavio Rubini Cases are no longer translating into hospitalizations or deaths at anywhere near the rate of five and six months ago. As per the official Canadian federal government COVID data:
75,723 cases — 5,942 deaths = May-August (123 days)
82,784 cases — 648 deaths = Sept.-Oct. 23rd (53 days)
9% more cases in less than half the time, yet deaths are 89% lower.
@Ottavio Rubini This has a 99.8% survival rate. There has never been more testing which is why the ‘cases’ are going up. However deaths remain very low…. Only the severely immune compromised and elderly are passing from this. The rest don’t have symptoms or have symptoms similar to the seasonal flu.
