and they continue to do nothing about the homeless problem.
All available housing going to newcomers.
@ice water The Statistics Canada Demographic Simulation shows that Toronto is expected to become 90% immigrant by 2036.
70% for Vancouver.
2036 is when Canada is expected to become a majority immigrant, with about half the country with less than 60 years heritage in Canada.
Immigrants will live almost exclusively urban, while heritage Canadians almost exclusively rural.
Legalize psychedelics
ItS a DrUg PaNdEmIc
a Druguemic
Give druggies a sudden infusion of free money and expect to see OD’s. It’s really simple.
It’s amazing that seniors and the disabled didn’t qualify for CERB and were told they’re not worth the ground they walk on; but, somehow every homeless person with an addiction qualified.
@Ms. K Casey Well, to be fair you already get OAS so I’m not really sure why you feel entitled to an additional CERB payment for doing absolutely nothing? Also, by the way… If you were in-fact a senior and working/impacted by COVID-19 you WOULD of been eligible to claim CERB. For example, if you were a greeter at Wal-Mart and were laid off you would of been eligible for the $500 week payment in addition to what you regularly claim.
Wow telling addicts how to behave……
Thanks big pharma

Maybe try funding detox, treatment, and sober living instead of all these safe consumption sites? Overdose deaths tripled where I live when we got a site so… 🤷🏻♀️
Stacey M maybe start making our own drug supply!!!! CHUCK FINA !
Are you sure about that, because as far as the data I’ve seen, there have been 0 deaths in supervised consumption sites – not safe, supervised. I do however agree that there needs to be more funding for detox, treatment, and low-income, sober living housing.
Fun fact, every OD reversed in those sites saves taxpayers around a thousand dollars in emergency room fees and expenses.
Safe using sites only save lives. They are part of a larger solution like you said. They do offer support and work with different addiction and social services. There could be any number of reasons why deaths went up in your area but I guarantee you it had nothing to do with safe consumption sites.
@Benjamin Rastel They are of ZERO benefits except for enabling and encouraging the disasters and death and some BS jobs created.
Life sentences for dealers who are convicted for the sale of these drugs! No plea bargains and no parole! Mandatory 25 years and no judge has the ability to give lesser sentences!
I suggest we arrest the big pharma and the doctors that fill opioid prescriptions they hand them out like candy so they can their kickback
@Mark Williams actually booze kills far more, but go band wagons
It costs $115,000 a year to imprision someone where I live in Canada. It would be much wiser to invest in solutions to poverty and addicton, and most importantly education, to prevent tragedies from happening in the first place.
B.C. sea port opened wide. Lmao, no taxes for govt.. Where is my safe smoking site?
As long as there is profit in war the world will never know peace
Bitcoin is peace.
Nasara Gaara is peace.
Robert Weaver how?
Decriminalize all drugs and take the distribution of drugs away from the criminals
That’s the only way to fix the problem.
I see someone already said it … it really is the only way
Pretty sure the current federal government is directly responsible for the opioid epidemic.
Please elaborate
@Darin Currington Because drug dealers don’t tend kill their repeat customer base. Violence is for competition.
@Carlo I’d be surprised to find out that the average drug dealer is carefully checking the quality of their product to ensure the safety of their clientele. It seems more likely to me that drug dealers are happy to make their money without regard to the ill effects of their trade. It also seems to be the case that, as one addict dies, another takes their place, which is a sad fact that I’m sure drug dealers are also able to see and happily exploit . Do you really think there’s a government conspiracy behind overdose deaths? Social cleansing in Canada – I doubt it very much.
This is what happens when tyrants run your country and the world.
It’s a plandemic trying to give everybody the mark of the beast.
Yeah we know
Your toxic government should be on trial…. zero “risk assessment” was done before these ridiculous and insane measures where rolled out! Now you’re crying!!!!????
I know. I was thinking the same thing. Bonnie Henry is crying now. It’s too late for that. ! 😡
I can walk down to the local drug spot and identify who the dealers are. Why can’t a cop?
I thought no one died of anything except C19 nowadays
where are the drugs made? stop the supply chain!
202 dead covid in 6 months, maybe. 178 dead due to od every month forever.
