The thing is, every single case on earth is he said she said, until a thorough investigation is conducted to prove what the truth is. Individual officers have made themselves judge and jury over people’s lives and that is wrong.

Although this is a case of neglect, often the cops persecute and charge the victim. So often, they have a soft spot for the violent criminal. After repeated interactions with the cops, the criminals learn this and come to believe they have the right to do anything they want.
