What’s the false positive rate on the test used in Ontario? No one seems to want to answer that. I’m in BC and I called numerous officials, including a nurse whose job it is to know such things, and no one has any idea. No one would even tell me the test’s manufacturer.
At one point it was 80% false positives, there are eight strands of covid that they know of and they’re not sure which strand is actually the “19” we’re talking about.

I’ve read that you have an 80-95% chance of getting a false positive test. Because there is no covid test they haven’t been able to isolate it so they are testing for identifiers that can also be caused by any number of other health issues.

Amazing! They are saying the more that test the more they find. Who,d have thunk.
How many hospitalized? How many in ICU? What are the ages? What were the underlying Comorbidities? Diabetes? Hypertension? Renal failure? STATS, not CASES. And WOW, an increase of testing leads to a case increase… Imagine that…
Apparently the seasonal flu has nearly disappeared… because we’re all wearing masks and social distancing…but those measures don’t work for covid…huh?

The only masks that work against covid are the N95, the others are useless since the virus is airborne on microparticles. Flu is mostly transmitted via droplets.
