Ontario's Dr. Adalsteinn Brown was asked if modelling is 'predicting disaster.'

His response?

'I don't think you're missing anything.'

  1. I’m here suffering with original covid 19 and these guys are telling me we’re all screwed? Lol ya… we’re definitely all screwed…

  2. I think disaster would 100% happen if we dropped most measures immediately. It’s like a shaken bottle of pop. We know there is pressure, if we slowly twist that lid we will hear fizzing for sure. If we take the lid right off fast it will likely explode. But if we release gradually we can tell how much pressure we can safely relieve from the system.

    Unlike the pop, we cannot release the pressure until there is equilibrium. We can only test to see if there is a safe state at some point in twisting the lid or not, or if we have to tighten it right back up.
