Ontario cuts isolation period to 5 days, introduces new testing guidelines

In an update on December 30, 2021, Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore announced a slew of changes in an effort to help slow the spread of the Omicron variant. The province is shortening its COVID-19 isolation requirements to 5 days for those who are fully vaccinated, PCR testing will only be available for vulnerable and at-risk communities, and students will be returning to school on Jan. 5.

    1. Yep, finally following The Great Barrington Declaration-released in October 2020 from top world scientists, and signed by thousands of others…..

  1. My family in Ontario all are very ill no testing of any kind available in their town untill Jan 11. I live in Florida had to cancel again my trip to see my family who I have not seen in over 2 years due to the lack of preparedness and controlling overreach of the Ontario Govt

    1. If you’re Canadian you can cross, if you follow the guidelines and restrictions.
I went nearly 2 years without seeing my daughter, not seeing her graduate from highschool and not seeing her last track meet.
There’s no reason for you to be complaining now. I’ve seen my daughter three times in the last 4 months. It’s not ideal, but I’ll take something over nothing.

  2. So instead of building up a reserve of medical resources with the time we bought you by isolating, losing our savings, losing our businesses…you guys did nothing. No anticipation of the very predictable course of the pandemic.
