Online shopping gone wrong: Amazon denies Ontario man $1,700 refund

Michael McKelvie was frustrated when Amazon refused to refund a $1,700 camcorder he returned, claiming he sent an incorrect item.

  1. I would video myself putting it in the box and sealing it, then write something unique and identifying across the seals . When you show up at Canada Post, take a photo of it on the scale with tracking number on it. The weight should prove it was the correct item still in the box when it was sealed up and sent.

    1. Yeah but we shouldn’t have to do that especially if we pay thousands for products. Why is the item suddenly refunded after going to news ?

  2. Funny how Amazon usually only has an issue refunding ‘big ticket’ items; they’re always “not the same product returned”. 🤨 Shame we *need* to turn to an advocate to receive justice.
