So very sad. Devastating. I’m so sorry 😞
Same here, this was an avoidable tragedy, but so many choose the lies put out by rich people in the fossil fuel industry
Why be? You didn’t create the flood
@Defender of Justice why cry for Ukraine then 😂? “RUsSia Bad UkRnianS sooOo BravEe, Saliva UkrAine”
@Pïna Colada I support Russia
@Pïna Colada Im Indian
Them now, us later. It’s just going to continue to get worse. The only thing that we can do is support those who need help now & prepare ourselves for when trouble hits us. What I’m most worried about rn is the famine caused by this drought. Put back food and grow gardens so your families will be taken care of.
@Sun Dial So we had satellites that could track storms and not miss any in the 1800’s? The industrial revolution is said to have begun in the late 1770’s. Manly in what was known as Great Briton at that time. What is now known as meteorology didn’t get really going in the U.S. until the mid 1800’s. And there weren’t a whole lot of people monitoring the weather. As time went on more weather stations were established. It was not until the telegraph came into existence that weather conditions could be studied more accurately.
There is no proof of what you allege.
Yep this is our second out of three years of forest fires coming to the Oregon coast which never happened before.
Power outages throughout the state yes this will happen to everybody it isn’t just them and it seems nobody’s learning. Go to your Starbucks in full up on all your fancy drinks in plastic cups and your fancy food in plastic bags and you don’t think anything is going to happen?
@Sun Dial
Did the fast melting of glaciers exist?
5:15. DAM, they JUST sold their farm animals/ business JUST to be able to survive THE flood. The government or the one who bought the animals (or via a second party or third party business coop waiting for those who sold the animals) should’ve had a equal or somewhat equal (-%) exchange for them at a different location waiting.
Where are they gonna go? The whole country will probably be under water when the Greenland Glacier crumbles. The whole world is going to have to get over the immigration phobia.
Really sad
@Loving Life Not the whole, new every thing is okay only villagers are facing the problems but after fews days they will go to their villages

Thank you Clarissa for bringing this story to the world…
A country putting out less than 1% of emissions is suffering like this, while the rich get richer, and the people in power around the world do nothing about it. America deserves what’s coming because the average person is all about doing and getting for themselves and their own. There are just too few good Samaritans in the world and way too many people living in 4 bedroom houses on big pieces of land while their fellow human beings suffer in shacks and extreme poverty. So many times I go by churches with loads of property and wonder why they can’t build a couple of small homes for people in need. I guess that would be asking too much. Their Savior didn’t have a place to lay His head, but that doesn’t seem to motivate them to get involved and make a difference in the lives of others.
@Deborah Freedman what is the relationship between floods and women? Or you are saying natural disaster is also religions fault?
Should’ve build flood defenses. The deltaworks in the netherlands costs 5 billion dollars. A small price to pay. Certainly if your country is below sealevel. As a dutch person i can’t believe countries don’t all do this. Is failing of the government and that is what the debate should be. The west should force countries to build flood defenses. The US should know by now after Katrina. This wasn’t even a hurricane, it was just rainfall. Are we gonna send billions next year when it happens again? Call the Dutch already!!!!
@Joey for now Dutch should worry about Russia and cold winters ahead. Pakistanis will survive one way or another. It’s you and your country which needs to worry about tiny piece of land which has no ground in the international arena.
@lucifer Johnson My country has the biggest gasfield of Europe. No need to worry.
We actually started the benelux the predecessor of the EU. The EU treaty is also signed in my country.
My country also started modern day capitalism and on the good country list we’re ranked second after Finland. Wallstreet is even named after the wall of the former Dutch colony.
We score highest on Human rights in the world and the international court is in the Netherlands. The U.S. Declaration of independence is largely based on the Dutch Plakkaat van Verlatinghe.
We’re also know for our flood defenses which are the best in the world. We got that ship out of the Suezcanal saving the world trade. Also for the palm islands in Dubai.
We invented bluetooth and WIFI. The world could also know us for Heineken, Phillips, ASLM(one of the biggest chip technology companies of the world) or our agricultural exports(second biggest in the world above countries like China or Russia which are 200× the size).
Pakistan is know for harboring Osama Bin Laden.
We should be talking about this more instead of the monarchy in England that does nothing for people.

Oh, but they DID do something for them… They made them all colonies at some point; which gave them civilization; which put them in the way of nature.. same old, same old!
THIS IS COMING TO US, WE ARE DESTROYING OUR PLANET, AROUND MY OWN NEIGHBORHOOD I SEE SO MUCH CEMENT INSTEAD OF TREES IT ALMOST MAKES ME CRY. IT IS SO SAD THE DAMAGE WE ARE CAUSING.
@Deborah Freedman NATURE WILL, WE HAVE TO EDUCATE THE ONE’S ALREADY HERE.
I wonder how much time those lamenting on the cement are actually spending in nature, surrounded by it, sharing with it, collaborating with it, loving it with joy. Or are they simply watching CNN images in front of a screen. By my experience, I would say, the energy of nature teaches us not to believe TV report too much, things change, but nature knows best by itself, it will do the necessary job right on time, it is not a bad thing, it is a natural cleansing process, which happened many times.
@Deborah Freedman Human overpopulation will be addressed regardless. Mother nature will make sure of that. But co2 will keep going up because permafrost is already melting and will release double the amount of co2 already in our atmosphere. Along with the methane from thawing methane clathrates. The only solution at this point is solar geoengineering to refreeze the arctic ice.
Prayers for help for these people.

This is going to happen all over the world. The hotter the temperature of Earth the more rain falls. You can’t bury your head in the sand any more. We need to reduce breeding to 2 children a family and start climate mitigation everywhere. A city in Australia flooded 3 times in the last 6 months. People are still living in tents many months later because the government just doesn’t know how to mitigate the problem, it’s so large. People are now rebuilding houses onto stilts metres off the ground in preparation for our future.
@N Hinton “And solar geoengineering” So now geoengineering is not a conspiracy theory anymore, but a solution ? It has been existing for years and decades and we might have clues it has made things worse on that matter.
That’s right, 4 children at the MOST for everyone especially the poorer countries. Look at all the children in the video. Doesn’t look like this will get any better, Looks like it’s heading for a catastrophe where a 1/4 of a million people may starve or die of desease.
@Tiny Rocky Planet
The miracle of the quick freezing glaciers must have occurred after the great flood
This is a reminder for all people in the world who take running water, sewer, shelter for granted…
This is the first I heard about this. Thank you for covering this. Cover the story more so the people can get help.
same bruh
God bless the affected people
CNN’s coverage and Indian news channels’ coverage are vastly different. According to some Indian media, the recent floods in Pakistan have brought the economy to its knees, as they said in one of the articles. It amazes me that they view natural disasters through religious glasses. I hope very soon they come out from steeped in hatred.
Indians news is also true. Pakistan economy has lost billions dollars becasue of floods
We have homeless families and a butt load of shelters, corruption, hungry children!! let’s help united states’of America first.
Instead of sending billions to Ukraine, the US should be sending relief to these people.
Lol why though? You saying this is worse than war and bigger geopolitical crisis?
We don’t have to treat it like we’re already done; this is a PICTURE of what the WHOLE FUTURE could look like, if we don’t do SOMETHING NOW!
It’s not that we need to suddenly find every answer; but we need to start agreeing that the current state of affairs is NOT sustainable. We can find better ways, if we spend the time and energy to do so. Instead of trying to blame the whole of everyone’s problems on some hidden doctor evil in a volcano pulling strings.
Millions live in poverty in this country, our troops are being told to apply for food stamps, millions live without running water in their homes, some police departments are not responding to non life threatening calls due to gas shortages… that’s the USA….. 200 billion would go a long way fixing our country
“Pakistan is responsible for less than 1% of the world’s emissions; but is paying a stiff price for global warming.” Since climate solutions have been all but ignored by wealth nations most responsible for the world’s emissions; it is only a matter of time before they too will experience what we see here.
Prayer to my pakistan people

You don’t know about the mind (thought) of our politicians they flow water towards their villages for getting funds from foreign… and they don’t give 100% to poor people; they also take for themselves. My village is Garhiyasin which is now OK not only my village but also others
