so what happens when June rolls around and we’re still dealing with Corona? The appropriate response here would be to let them continue but over a longer period of time (instead of only having voting for a few days, spread it out over a few weeks) and make mail-in ballots more accessible (according to a friend of mine who has printed the ballots before, they have to be printed months in advance to ensure there are enough). Add in necessary precautions at polling locations and there would be no reason not to continue with voting. Instead, they are delaying the vote over a situation that is likely to get worse in the coming months, before it gets better, and not changing anything in the meantime.

@Kristi Marie So what do you propose? Everyone go stand in line in the polls tomorrow and exponentially increase the spread of the disease? Pushing it back to June 2nd should at least give everyone plenty of time to request an absentee ballot and vote by mail. There’s a judicial precedent that you have the right to vote, but not to vote in any manner you please. If it were up to me I’d say make it absentee only voting for the primary, and mail every registered voter a request form just in case. Four states already have mail in only elections, so its not unprecedented.
