OH Secretary Of State Reacts To Lawsuit Against Him By Voting Rights Group | Stephanie Ruhle | MSNBC
Before watching the video, I already knew the OH Sec of State had an R next to his name.
Odd that they always call themselves the “true patriots” yet are also the ones who hate democracy and don’t want people to actually vote.
Because the reality is they are a minority in most states, so they have to resort to dirty tricks. It’s pathetic really.

My fellow Americas and true Patriots, we cannot allow Donald Trump to steal the upcoming election, and I believe there are five (updated from four) keys to preventing this:
1. Verify your voter registration status.
County clerks in Republican districts across the country fraudulently purge voter rolls of legitimate Democrat voters prior to each election. In the 2014 mid-term election, I arrived at my local polling station only to discover I was no longer registered to vote, even though I had been a resident of my county and living at the same address for seven years. I was forced to cast a “provisional ballot,” which I suspect was not counted in the final vote tally.
Since then, I have always verified my voter registration status well ahead of upcoming elections to ensure I have time to re-register in case of any Republican shenanigans.
2. Vote early and in-person.
In Republican states, there will no doubt be attempts to suppress voter turnout in Democratic districts by limiting the number of polling stations and reducing polling hours. This will likely be under the guise of protecting voters and polling workers from Covid-19 exposure.
Laws no doubt vary by state. In Texas, voters must vote at their designated polling location on Election Day. However, during the early voting period, voters can vote at any open polling location in their county of residence. This makes it more difficult for Republicans to target Democratic districts for poll closures and restricted hours.
Find the early voting laws for your state, and vote as early as possible. This will point you in the right direction:

3. Use no-excuse absentee voting in states where it is available.
“No excuse absentee voting” means you can request an absentee ballot from your state or county election official for any reason. Currently, 29 states offer no excuse absentee voting, including the most crucial swing states: Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
If your state is on this list, request an absentee ballot and mail it no later than October 20th to ensure it is received and counted:

UPDATE: Trump’s Postmaster General is doing everything in his power to disenfranchise voters using mail-in ballots. If you choose to use absentee voting, please deliver your ballot in-person to a designated drop-off point well before Election Day to ensure it is counted.
4. Please do not waste your vote.
Yes, my fellow Americans, I am also frustrated by the two-party system, and I understand the appeal of underdog third-party candidates. You must realize, however, that a vote for a third-party candidate is effectively a vote for Trump.
Don’t believe me? Just look at the numbers. Two states, Florida and Wisconsin, tipped the Electoral College for Trump in 2016. Trump won Florida by 113,000 votes and Wisconsin by a mere 23,000 votes. The top two third-party candidates, Gary Johnson and Dr. Jill Stein, captured 271,000 combined votes in Florida and 137,000 combined votes in Wisconsin. According to exit polls, the overwhelming majority of these votes were from disenfranchised Liberal voters who refused to vote for Hillary Clinton.
5. Do not become complacent due to poll numbers.
Current polls show Biden with a 9-point lead over Trump. In 2016, polls showed Hillary Clinton with a commanding lead over Trump, and this caused many voters to become complacent, many opting not to vote since they were so certain of a Clinton victory. We cannot get complacent in 2020. The only poll that matters is the final vote tally on November 3rd.
Like many of you, Joe Biden is not my preferred candidate. “Bernie/Liz 2020” was my dream ticket. Nevertheless, we must be united in taking back our country and making America sane again.
Please share this message as often as possible from now to Election Day. Say “NO” to four more years of fascism.
As a Brit, I find it very frightening that the president seems to actively encourage mail tampering; if he gets away with it in your country, it sets a precedent, so other presidents/ prime ministers could attempt the same thing in their countries. It’s what corrupt leaders have done for years in some African countries, or the equivalent of mail tampering; also there’s huge unrest in one of the Eastern European countries right now, over an allegedly rigged election win. I’m sorry, I can’t recall the name right now.
I have a question – why can’t your postal votes go into ordinary post boxes, either on the street or in the nearest post office? Wouldn’t that make it harder to interfere?
I have friends in various states, and they’re all incredibly worried that their voices/votes won’t be counted.

I thought that too but I read on the USPS website, they still get a USPS postmark when they gain possession of them. Plus all of the ballots have a USPS Intelligent ballot (mail) barcode which completely trackable in real time (just like courier packages). If you get one of several apps you can track your ballot yourself.
With the app you would be able to watch your ballot leave your house, make it’s way to Mar-A-Lago (oddly), then the White House, over to Russia (for some reason) then eventually to your Elections board office…Fun.

Mmmmm, don’t think so. (btw, progressive democrat here). Yes, Trump is playing dirty with this election, but that doesn’t mean that every Republican is doing so. And imho, this guy sounds legit. Would want to see the statute that limits number of drop boxes, but if it does, then he’s right that he can’t change the law, and must enforce it as written. Note he mentioned that he’d like the Legislature to alter the law (because he can’t). And strongest statement in his favour: his office sent absentee request forms to every registered voter. Strongly suspect there are people out there attempting to subvert the election and/or suppress voters, but don’t think this guy is one of them.

We have had mail in voting here in Utah since 2013. We haven’t had any problems, and Republicans have been elected since we started mail in voting.

*Edit- I just slogged my way thru every bit of Ohio Election Law I could find, including House Bill 197 (passed March 2020), that had some Election modifications in it, and I could find NOTHING that prohibits counties in Ohio from installing extra Drop Boxes, other than the one mandatory one at each County Elections Office. Yes, it does say they MUST have ONE box at the Elections office, but it does not expressly say they can ONLY have one, or provide any prohibition against adding more. so, LaRose is full of poopoo!
(the ONLY place I could find with such a prohibition about extra drop boxes in writing was in the LETTER LaRose sent all of the county Elections officials, where HE forbade them to add more Drop Boxes)

Trump will definitely try to cheat in order to win reelection. Trump is a natural born loser, therefore he has to cheat. He’s never achieved anything in his life without lying and cheating.
Trump’s failure as a president was inevitable. Trump was never equipped to do his job. He doesn’t have the necessary tools or the wherewithal to do his job. Trump is grossly incapacitated intellectually, mentally, emotionally, temperamentally, socially, and psychologically. He couldn’t properly do his job as president even if he wanted to. (Which he doesn’t) Trump was always going to fail, and he was always going to blame his failures on someone or something. Lying, cheating, and bullying are his only tools for survival. They are the tools of his trade, which is being an agent of chaos, misery, and destruction. It’s all he knows. He is a sad and pathetic excuse for a human being. @rob head I did and I have and I am going to again. rob, with all due respect, you have to pay attention a little better. This discussion was primarily about the mistrust Trump and DeJoy have instilled amongst the voters and potentially throw this election. People are needing to or wanting to vote by mail and by now you should know the rest of the story. Thanks for your suggestion, but I have done what I needed to do and it worked well in the primaries.

Donold Trump and his scandalous team are very smart and have conned and scammed all of America from the beginning. Trump and his dirty team have been planning this out, preparing for a hostile take over of the free united state’s as we know it. Trump and his dirty team will do and say anything including blackmail, harras, lie cheat and steal to get what they want. And with trump and his dirty scandalous legal team set up I doubt that any one can stop them. Good luck and God bless. And yes it has been prophecied in the scriptures already. @4 Freedom First, Trump puts his man in the DOJ, William Barr who started out immediately to restructure the inner circle of that organization. then he puts DeJoy in charge of the postal service and he immediately starts dismantling the machines and collection boxes and stops all over-time to further delay the mail. IN just he puts Michael pack in charge of the U.S Agency of Global Media (Voice of America) and just hours after being sworn in by the Senate he starts firing key figures in that institution. One of the things Pack talked about was the possibility of foreign agents infiltrating the Agency. Ironic in that I the he is one! this institution was founded in 1942 to inform the world of America’s views.
The speed of these changes smacks not of chaos but of a planned process to destroy America from the inside by a foreign source. That source in my estimation has to be Russia. They are the ones with the biggest bank-roll and the biggest hate for America.
Trump’s Russian friends can’t open our mail and change our votes. That’s why Trump dreads mail-in voting.
