Officer Indicted In Swift Arrest For Killing Unarmed Black Man | The Beat With Ari Melber | MSNBC
Good, if you can’t tell the difference in the weights of those weapons, that’s completely on you. Since when is accidentally shooting someone OK?
Especially after 26 yrs.
The 3-day arrest should become the norm rather than the exception.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then a video ought to be worth at least 10,000 words when deciding whether or not to charge.
If the police officer had been a man instead of a woman…would the indictment happened as quickly?
I don’t know, that’s a weird one. Maybe he would have shot quicker
If Daunte Wright had been white instead of black, would he even have been stopped by the cops?
@Kieron Johnson There you go… You are NOT a Racist!
Thanks man…
In the Armed Forces: when you’re charged with the responsibility of carrying a gun, there is no such thing as “whoopsie”. If you pull the trigger of any weapon, lethal or otherwise, you are culpable for the consequences. There is no excuse for this.
Exactly!
Dittzx I have a weird feeling that with the rise in these instances and killings, that the US Police Force is trying to set even the slightest of precedence before being reformed and rebuilt… restructured. They are the Blue Klux Klan.
it’s very hard to cry “oopsie”, when you’re a 20+ year veteran of the force, and you know you must reach across your body, with your dominant hand, to pull the taser.
Yeah,being compliant would be crazy!!!!!
That proves that America’s war on black people domestically, is much less regulated than her international wars.
It’s official guys, we’re packing SCOTUS!!!
Good, tired of the republicans standing in the way of everything because it’s democrat suggested.
Too bad they can’t be so swift about the men
My point Exactly!
lol, equal requirements.. equal rights. sit down karen
It’s about time, this issue should have corrected many years ago…
I don’t know what this all means but we are in the middle of history.
I’m sorry, even if it was a “mistake”, there’s no proper excuse for removing a non-threat from the face of the earth.
Any common person would of got MURDER!
I’m shocked, now its time to end police immunity.
Been time but the police lady has got to live with that the rest of her life ,,,,
@Steve Griner along with her full pension because she resigned
I am no expert but doesn’t a gun weigh more than a taser? aren’t their tasers a bright yellow? help me out please
They are normally placed backwards and on the opposite side of the utility belt. It normally requires an officer to holster their service weapon so they can use the same hand to release the taser. A procedure started after the Fruitvale Station incident.
@Comment 200 thanks so much…
It was no accident
They are actually made on purpose to feel completely different than a gun on a blind reach. After 26 yrs of service she has no excuse unless it’s found she has an unknown ailment that would cause her brain to override muscle memory like a brain tumor, silent stroke, or silent seizures. Which may be possible.
@DD O exactly
If a cop kills anybody who is not a threat to them with a deadly weapon , they should never just go home like there’s no penalty
I know that’s right . We as normal people would be in jail.
Yeah they rushed it cause they learned the hard way last time and didn’t want history to repeat itself. 🔥🏬
This might be a new world record only thing is missing now is 1st degree murder🥴
God has the last word ,
It doesn’t look intentional, but definitely negligent.
Have to prove she planned on killing him before the stop for Murder 1.
Hallelujah.
She needs to stay in jail until she gets her trial
Her Taser is not even the same color as her gun, & carried on the non dominant arm, & she’ was training a new cop – Unbelievable.
Y’all her taser was yellow. It was YELLOW. She knew exactly what she was doing
Yes!! Justice For Durante Wright and his family!!
