Structure can be achieved WITHOUT religion. Religion should be exclusively a home thing. School is for education and discipline (actual discipline and not abuse). We want every other aspect of society to be held responsible/accountable for our kids except where the heaviest load should be, THE HOME!
@RavKhar no one said it didn’t predate it, but it certain was as I said a pillar of slavery AS WE KNOW IT and is inextricably tied to OUR slavery. And the fact that you even think that we need the church as a moral compass to guide us shows that you lack the ability to act on your own internal process of what is wrong and right. Wrong and right has ZERO to do with religion and more to do with our assessment of of self and each other. @RavKhar also, mass shootings in the US isn’t because of godlessness. It’s due to a culture of false narratives (also the inability to read and comprehend if you’ve ever actually read the second amendment for yourself) and the inability to regulate ones emotions. So instead of stopping and thinking about something rationally and the implications surrounding it, they just act. AND lack of actual parenting. Most parents these days would rather be the child’s friend and not their parent. Now THAT is something from the past we should have kept more of. Parents being parents and the family unit growing the children.
@Lex Nel I made the point that it predates it to show it couldn’t be the cause and it Christianity the led to the abolition of said Slavery. Having a moral compass is good but also subjective therefore u cannot truly determine what is right from wrong only what u believe to be so. It is men(and women) with their own moral compass that determined slavery was right in the 1st place and with no objective moral standard to say otherwise, why not. Men like Hitler and Stalin who can murder so many in the name of what they believe to be right had a subjective moral compass just like the one you have.
@Lex Nel false narratives like only the physical and material world exists so all you feel is just an assortment of random chemicals and you nor anyone else have intrinsic worth therefore taking life is just like killing a squirrel, no real meaning to it other than going to jail if you get caught? Because if that’s true then why not? Why not do as i like? Why is slavery wrong in that context? Wouldn’t it be survival of the fittest like the theory of evolution teaches or is it that all men are created equal like the bible teaches?

Not a ritual how could you call a warning ritual. Too much demon in this country. Any school that cut devotion in school should not continue. Jamaica is a christian country and so devotion should stand.

when I was younger I found a book written by L w Delaurence, due to the stories i had heard my initial reaction was fear but a phrase that was beaten into my head stuck out … dont judge a book by the cover … the name of the book was the master key …to sum it up …. the great gospel of optimism … the internet era gave access to info so I did research to find out who this controversial figure was … he was born in 1868 in cleveland Ohio. His publishing company (De Laurence, Scott & Co.) and spiritual supply mail order house was located in Chicago. He was an author but was mocked and reviled for his plagiarism of A.E. Waite’s 1910 book The Pictorial Key to the Tarot, and the S.L. MacGregor Mathers version of the Key of Solomon, He was also arrested and charged with mail fraud in Chicago in 1910. De Laurence died on 11 September 1936 in Chicago, at the age of 68. Jamaica Customs prohibits “All publications of de Laurence Scott and Company of Chicago in the United States of America relating to divination, magic, cultism or supernatural arts.”

Religion shouldn’t be mixed with formal education children come from various religious homes so the school cannot cater for the various religions so parent of Catholic religion don’t want their children to be mixed up in zionism.

I think when they are having devotion make it simple just read couple of Scriptures and explain it to the children and send them off to their class that’s my view.
