The fact that some people out there look at t’rump’s orange skin, thinning hair, fake teeth, and rolls of fat and think, “yes, I will take his healthcare advice over a doctor’s” is just hilarious.

Retailers who give in to panic buying thereby depriving needy customers of life saving medicines are murderers. A pharmacist should know his stock holdings and customer needs… If he flouts that he is culpable.
They have to all be tested on humans first? Couldn’t we just test them on Trump. If he turns out okay, then we could test them on humans.

They could try ultrasound to stop viruses reproduction in the lungs by putting a high frequency in the patient mouth. The problem is that bats uses ultrasound, it might worsening or help control the population of the viruses in the lungs.

Think side effects folks before you bite.
Some of these drugs have gone through the first two sets of trials on other viruses and approved for use. The use is just not tested and approved for covid-19
@Eastern Woods There’s not an approved drug on the market that doesn’t have side effects. Admonishing “folks” to consider the side effects before participating in the clinic trial for this use is appropriate.
VITAMIN C, VITAMIN C. China has said this is what stopped the pandemic in China. They have now gone to Italy so we should soon see improvement there.
@tammy koble I eat an orange every day and take zinc during cold and flu season. I’m also a big believer in garlic and turmeric. I have a storehouse of old remedies from my grandmother and great grandmother. These were all they had once. Antibiotics only came on the scene in the 1930s. I am allergic to most antibiotics and the flu shots and aspirin so I’m basically on my own. I’m old and I’m still here . Do be careful about taking too much of anything.
PLEASE READ…..So – I just learned. When you call your creditors, mortgage lenders, utilities, etc. asking for help due to loss of income, if you just say you’ve lost work, income, jobs, show cancellations, whatever, they can’t help you.
BUT!!! Once you say “I have no income due to the Coronavirus”, that’s the keyword they need to hear to be able to enact their new policies, defer payments, halt late fees, etc.
And, apparently, they can’t coach you to say it. You have to do it yourself.
Just FYI for everyone I know who, I suspect, needs this info. Companies have policies in place already – if you need them, use them!

I don’t think that is the case, he is running around with his hair on fire and could barely do that if he had a lot of time on his hands. He is just listening to stuff like this, knows his businesses require crowd, know a year without crowds means his businesses will tank and he may have eggshell financing, Trump is grasping for magic straws. We have heard zero number, even from optimist like this, are they going to reduce hospitalizations and deaths by 80% or 5%. I guess with a million cases 5% would be great, but that percentage isn’t going to change a thing, I would tend to believe the lower side given the foot dragging. He seems to have a cause and effect mechanism to test things instead of watching the results for weeks and wonder if it’s placebo effect or being tested bias.
Deborah Freedman That Israeli company should be testing Hidroxicloroquine for covid-19 first, because even if it really works there are still any unknowns about the appropriate dosage, because all the anecdotal accounts differ, secondary effects, how they affect the heart, and so on. Also, why they aren’t helping Italy already?
@Badidea Bearcub Its already been tested around the world and found to be safer than chloroquine. Who’s got time to test it for a brand new virus when people are dying? Who knows if the Italians are using it?
Jeff Gibson Not really, only one study in a petri dish in China, and one study with only 26 patients in France, in which 5 of those patients didn’t continue the study because they got worse and 1 actually died, so, two studies and anecdotal accounts is not enough data. Similarly, there was anecdotal information about certain HIV antivirals working against Covid-19, but proper studies had shown that there was no real difference, meaning the chance of surviving of those patients was the same with o without those drugs. We need the studies, and fast.
@Badidea Bearcub Chloroquin has very serious side effects. It is not recommended unless a last resort. Many drugs may have some inhibitory effects but they must be tested for dosage and other effects. That may take time.
It´s bogus for example in France they tried to treat corona patients with hydroxychloroquin (the malaria drug) and the patients got so severe side reactions to the drug that 4 of 20 patients had been admitted to the ICU and 1 died.

@Juliett A Some people have cured from aids actually, as long as it’s caught quickly. That’s all I know. I also believe there is already a hidden cure, but that’s my belief.
@Maurice Questel Maurice is correct that there are other corona viruses. This one we are facing is COVID-19. There are way too many others, only 2 others were spread in 2002 and 2012, called SARS and MERS.
I’m actually upset that Donald Trump had “outed” these drugs because its indiscriminate use will create bacteria that would develop resistance not only for the specific drug but for a whole group of drugs of the same family, and there aren’t really that many antibiotics left. And for those like me who are allergic to penicillin there won’t be many alternatives.
I’ve been drinking gin and tonic, just in case.
