Send them to Iowa. We need hard workers. Farmers bring them in illegally anyway.
Nope
this is also illegal..
There is always a way to get desperate people to ”voluntarily” sign a piece of papper.
Tell me about it. Biden’s a great example.
@Markus Rother
That’s a ridiculous statement
Isn’t it great!?
@Clown Chaos Time should say get in the bus or get the hell out!!
Take them in. Take care of them and proccess them. Treat them like human beings. Show them and the world just how twisted and evil Texas is. Make this a triumph for NYC and a shame and disgrace upon Texas. As it overwhelmingly deserves.
I hope one of my contracted cleaning vendors hires people that came. I met a cleaner that had a masters in education in her country but she was old when she had to come here and couldn’t speak English so she had become a cleaner. So sad but she worked hard and started taking English courses. Lucky for her, her daughter lived here already so she had a place to stay. They are people too and if we are this big great democracy started by immigrants that we claim to be, then we can’t turn people like that away.
@ROB LIVE87 There is nothing stopping YOU from hiring them — except maybe the fact that they dont have a work visa — but that shouldn’t stop you. Why don’t YOU employ some of these “migrants”? A lot of them are from Nigeria and speak English…
@Chucks Grace Yeah, why wouldn’t we? They’re legal migrants.
If we’re shuffling undesirables to other states, can New York send all the republicans to Texas on a bus?
@Jetta so essentially you’re saying migrants are the same as convicts..?
I’ll say it again
Imagine illegally walking into a country and getting a free bus to New York City. Then complaining the country you’re in illegally sent you to the wrong state
Check with the federal government and see if Texas signed them up for federal benefits before they put them on the bus.
Nah , that’s a Democrat trick .
Wouldn’t it be something if the city was able to leverage the additional man power of willing workers and potential federal loans to convert/ repurpose abandoned properties?
Short term goals could become long term solutions to the homeless population.
All that’s really needed is genuine intent.
What world do you live in?
Abandoned properties in NY are being turned into luxurious apartment buildings, and most working New Yorkers can’t even afford living in them…
@7sArts Well it’s not smuggling to send someone across state lines. Especially once immigration let them out of jail.
@7sArts excellent point!
4000 out of a million? Big deal, they need at least 50 000.
I wonder if the Texas Governors officials will swear under oath that the migrants knew what was happening to them and where they were being sent. I can imagine there’ll be a lot of ” Oh I can’t remember” and “I plead the 5th”
If the Governor of Texas sent illegals to another state with the understanding that those people would get off the busses and disappear into the populace, then the Governor of Texas probably broke the law! When or if people are in ICE custody they can’t just be sent to a city somewhere and blend in. There are rules, governed by laws, that require DUE PROCESS. It is not within the rights of a Governor to direct the disposition of Federal detainees, even less so to FORCE them to do ANYTHING outside of that due process. Not sure why anyone would want him to do that, or advise him to, but he did it anyway! Good times!
@LuGoMusic 👈 trans bot right here
@Z O alrighty..What is that?
Once again the GOP shows just how heartless, soulless and petty that damn party is..
@Jarrod Braddy well…..you were thinking it. 😉
@Thomas Rohlack who wouldn’t 😅
@John Armstrong bahaha, funny how you selectively get upset about non citizens from the south but if was a bus load of Europeans would Abbot have shipped off to another state or Canadian illegals that come in from the other boarder. Are you upset about that???
They entered the country Illegally, most of them are going to end up homeless or earning low wages and being exploited, in places like NY they work as contractors finish the job and they don’t get paid and they can’t sue because they don’t have a contractors license, NY is blue and it’s laws are then also inhumane as per your political standards
Bad people inTexas.
For me-One of the most shocking moments in political history was when the Georgia congresswoman started talking about coyotes because she thought that actual coyotes (the animal) were carrying people across the border🤣. I will never forget that. Amazing- that person represents Georgian constituents.
@PhillipjFrye Coyote is a racist slang word? They call themselves coyotes!! ??
@Garry Barry I think you are thinking of when he called MS13 gang members “animals” and the media went crazy saying that was a racist remark.
@kay armstrong I thought it was Stacey Abrams. Am I wrong on that?
@Just J I was told a local celebrity type.
@Just J naaa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYg5_GphMRE
We had people who came and worked with us on our farms
I got to learn many things from them
They kept us all working hard together every day
We had a lot of good times as well
We had big parties at the end of the year
I got to cook and eat with them as often as I could
I have very good memories of our time together every year
Some of them got land from our family and built beautiful homes for their families
They also did a lot for my grandparents
I have stayed in touch with some of them
@Samantha Beasley I share your experience.
When my wife was a child, her 350 acre farm had 1 house on it, theirs. It was lonely for the kids, especially. Over the years, they built homes for workers and now we are a community.
That’s what I call the American way. I don’t know what these people are talking about.
@Tv Dv
It was a great way to grow up and it was good for my children
I’m proud of the work we all did together
I use to love taking friends out there
They just couldn’t believe it
But many wanted to go back
@Samantha Beasley And, lest we not forget the food!
“All those future Democrat voters pouring into red border states….WE LOVE IT!” – Democrat mayors.
What were those flags some of them were carrying? And what were they advertising on their t-shirts? Why are they pictured with raised fists? I declare, a political stunt.
I have respect for the immigrants who got in line and sign the forms and come here legally I will tell them more power to you I hope it works out! the ones who cross the border illegally go back to country of origin and do it properly please!!
@DracoSuave Over 1.5 million illegal immigrants in the United States since the beginning of this year your obtuse
@DracoSuave obtuse you are!
@Lucy N. correct.
These migrants getting free transportation to the State of Opportunity what’s the issue here lmao 😂😂😂
I am so thankful that these unskilled workers will be coming to NYC to help contribute to the economy. They will be able to help grow this city and will not be a burden on city resources. If they are, I hope that NYC raises their taxes even more to help out these people.
So…you’re sure they’re unskilled? Because they come from another country? The immigrants I’ve worked with were very skilled and hard working. They were grateful for the opportunity and come to love this country. Immigration is good for this country and its economy.
Mr. and Ms Not In My Back Yard are getting a little bit of their own medicine. hahahaha well done!!
I’m in Houston Texas and we too are disgusted by our governor for this and more. We the people apologize for the chicanery.
Nothing to apologize for, Abbott is a great man. You can’t invite strangers to live in someone else’s house, so the states that opened the border and waved everyone in should take in their invited guests themselves.
Nope, nothing to apologize about.
Ahh, yes, the GOP…purveyors of compassion. And “family values”. These people have families too.
