People can’t get water but they are hiking up water rates? That’s crazy

Don’t you just hate it when they decided to hike things up 2 or 3 days before they implement the extra charges? And with the hot Summer here when we are going to use a lot more water than usual?
Land of wood and water and people can’t get water? They need to be made accountable accountable
What are people paying for,what do we get differently that cost more??
People can’t even take a shower certain time of the day: this behavior of the government and the N W C have to stop. People are getting fed up.
That increase in water bill is unreasonable and wicked. My water bill for last month was over $23,000.00 and only two working people live at the house. These persons leave out very early and return home late at night, yet the water bill continues to see a steady increase. The consumers always suffer.
Paying more for less. The NWC is a failed entity that should not be allowed any rate increase based on their poor service.
Wickedness we paying for dirty water 💧 no water and no one to speak to poor customer service

I want to ask NWC or anybody that can answer this question. If 2 neighbors pipe runs through my yard am I to get free water from the NWC?
How can the charges for the service of the water be more than the actual charges for the water that you used….no other company charges this much for service charge…..my cost for service charge last month for water is almost $2000.00 and the water charge is $500.00? ( Once per week water in pipe)
The answer is simple: Water is a SPECIAL or PECULIAR commodity- most of the cost of the input is GENERATING the water and TRANSFERRING it to your house….this makes the cost of the GENERATION and TRANSFERRING greater than the commodity itself….very few other commodities are like this….(water is free…but GENERATING and TRANSFERRING it is costly…it takes expensive equipment and input such as machines and electricity).
However, our bills are higher than needs be largely because of THEFT and INEFFICIENCY of the NWC operations.
@Wayne Anthony So why not use Solar energy instead of JPS to help reduce the cost of electricity…..
Are u saying that each month NWC buy and uses new and costly equipment to generate and transfer water to homes in Jamaica, am sure JPS can argue the same point about expensive equipment used to transfer electricity to homes in Jamaica….
Soh because there is no rate increase in other areas we must take comfort in that really OUR why dont you change the name to THEM
Say what and we hardly getting service enough as it is?????? Are you kidding me. If it wasn’t for storing water in the tanks then I don’t know what my family would do. They need a competition so that NWM stop taking ppl for fools n running us in the mud! Yall need good competition and once Jamaica comes together business strategies has to change because they will lose billions of dollars.
