Roseau, Dominica – June 30, 2009……. The Government of Dominica wishes to remind the general public that nominations for Meritorious Service Honours for 2009 closes today, Tuesday, June 30, 2009. There have been notices in the newspapers for several weeks.
Every November 3rd, on National Day, the President of Dominica confers honours on persons resident in Dominica or elsewhere who have rendered meritorious service to the State of Dominica.
The following awards for meritorious service to the State may be conferred on persons resident in Dominica or elsewhere: Dominica Award of Honour; Sisserou Award of Honour; Meritorious Service Award; Services Medal of Honour and Long Service Medal.
Recommendations should be sent under confidential cover to the Secretary to the Cabinet, Cabinet Secretariat, Office of the Prime Minister, Financial Centre, Kennedy Avenue, Roseau.
