  1. Can confirm, we’ve been to the hospital twice, but no treatment or diagnosis. Just triage, are you stable, yes? ok, see ya!

  2. The system was already stretched before Covid and now it has totally collapsed in my mind. I am waiting for Surgery since August and have no hope to be admitted anytime soon.

    1. Honestly I’d look at out of country options. Canadians should honestly think about getting private insurance I haven’t relied on OHIP for years thankfully.

    2. @Colin Johnston Most private insurance companies will not cover treatment that is available by the government in Canada. I have been waiting for major surgery since Oct. 21. Also eye surgery which I’m not even sure if I’m even in the queue.

    1. It’s way worse since they all jumped on Pharma’s bandwagon. Talk about collusion and corr uption, and some Canadians are helping them keep the gravy train going. They love those who just go along with no questions asked, and they especially love you if you just keep pushing the shots for them. Do it to yourselves ,your family, and fellow Canadians because Pharma and politicians and bureaucrats are making trillions. Some love Truds top down edicts, and some love the new Total itarian way. Na zi much? Some will be remembered in history for their roll if they don’t smarten up.

  3. Small town family dr retired 4 years ago still no dr this is not new go to er waiting weeks. For any response not new heath care has been broken for years 🥲

    1. PR spin doctor who would never dare to note what all hospital staff know – that the system is critically underfunded and understaffed. Any significant flu season creates a crisis. Covid just took it up a notch.

  4. been this way for decades, they’ve never had a long term solution to begin with

  5. You are watching the engineered collapse of the medical system…enjoy the show cos the next few years is gonna be a doozy!

  6. Can confirm, we’ve been to the hospital twice, but no treatment or diagnosis. Just triage, are you stable, yes? ok, see ya!

  7. There is a solution to prevent the backlog of surgeries. CANCEL the
mandates that put thousands of employees out of work.
    What absolute insanity.

    1. Same thing with the truckers. Let’s cripple the supply chain further. What a bunch of geniuses at the helm.

  8. The problem is directly exasperated by loss of qualified/experienced staff. The lacking resources she is referring to are human and the quick fix that eludes her is obvious. Why is it that previous exposure and natural immunity was never considered relevant to IF anyone should get the vaccines, let alone be mandated on condition of employment of essential workers during a pandemic.

  9. Empty hospitals, doctors that only work a couple days per week for huge salaries, family doctors that take minimal patient loads and work part time for full pay, this country handed money to everyone that asked and now they’ll never work for it again.

  10. But cancelling all elective surgeries in all cities – doesn’t make sense. It’s not a one size fits all solution. In centres that aren’t overwhelmed, or have a bed shortage – and haven’t needed to pivot staff to other areas – this action just doesn’t make sense in all areas of the province. A more focused approach was needed – and instead – they made a provincial decision that wasn’t needed across the province.
